I had two fantastic meals at the 2800 Kitchen & Lounge at the DoubleTree at the Port of Los Angeles. For dinner, the Tostadas were yummy and with corn tortillas crisp enough that I could pick them up to eat. I also ordered Seasonal Vegetables, which were fresh and cooked to perfection. For breakfast, the Avocado Toast with hard boiled egg was also excellent, and came with the perfect complement of fresh fruit. Definitely coming here again.
It's okay, not bad but not outstanding. Prices seem to be a bit high for me for the amount you get. Note there is an additional 20% service charge automatically added. No military discount.
This place is in a beautiful marina with a beautiful view for a lobby restaurant. Our server was extra friendly and checked on us often. I wish I could remember his name!! You could tell he really cared about the service the customer receives!! The food is decent just not sure it's worth the price. It is very pricey for what you get. The crispy chicken sounded so good but ended up being very bland. The soup was good and the fish and chips were ok. Overall a beautiful atmosphere!...
