“Came here for a meetup event and happily devoured their Bahn Mi sandwich. I love breweries that make a mean Bahn Mi and this one was quite savory. You order at the counter and they'll bring it out to your table via numbered placard. It was a nice night so my group and I sat outside. It's a chill environment, definitely a good place to gather. Definitely check this place out as it's in a newer, more upscale part of downtown.

“Great selection of house brewery choices. I didn't eat here but I tried a couple of different pints. Casey served me up at the bar and he was entertaining with high energy to uplift me after a long day at the local convention center. Good place to meet new and old friends.“

“This place is awesome the food tasted amazing even my grandkids loved the food my oldest grandson ate a whole large margarita pizza. The service was amazing when my grandson asked for more lemonade to the waiter. The waiter was so kind. We don’t care if prices are high for food but the food the drinks and the restaurant was worth it.“

“Loved our first visit to Project Barley! The atmosphere was laid-back, friendly, and full of good vibes—the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Huge shoutout to Zha for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of. It was our first time, but it’s definitely not our last. The beer selection? Top notch. “My fiance planned my birthday party here which is located in beautiful downtown Torrance. The ambiance was very warm and inviting. Laurie who helped my fiance plan the party was very helpful and was there overseeing the party to make sure everything went well. The food was very good! “Old school California music club. Last Wednesday of the month: Songwriter Showcase.
Last night's (7/30/25) Showcase lineup was out of this world. Very exciting mix of original work by talented musicians. This night had a number of repeat appearances from the last 15 months of the program along with first-time appearances. It just keeps getting better!
Always a nice and friendly crowd responsive to and supportive of the performers.
Craft beer from Hermosa Brewing Company and Project Barley on tap. Mixed and canned drinks. Opens at 7 PM, so eat dinner first.
Can bring in food (clean up after yourself if & when you do). No wait staff: order drinks at the bar.
