“Came here for a meetup event and happily devoured their Bahn Mi sandwich. I love breweries that make a mean Bahn Mi and this one was quite savory. You order at the counter and they'll bring it out to your table via numbered placard. It was a nice night so my group and I sat outside. It's a chill environment, definitely a good place to gather. Definitely check this place out as it's in a newer, more upscale part of downtown.

“I stopped going for pizza after purchasing a pizza oven 1.5 years ago. I would go occasionally for their incredible sour dough for my pizza. Every pie I made got a little better. Last Monday we went for pizza and beers. I’ve come to realize their pizza is so much better than mine. Maybe I’ll figure it out in a couple years but for now I’ll keep coming for the taste testing. Atmosphere loses a star due to parents letting their kids run amok with no supervision.“

“Loved our first visit to Project Barley! The atmosphere was laid-back, friendly, and full of good vibes—the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Huge shoutout to Zha for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of. It was our first time, but it’s definitely not our last. The beer selection? Top notch. Whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth lagers, or something a little more adventurous, they’ve got something for every palate. Can’t wait to come back and try more!“

“ChatGPT4 suggested Red Car to me for the Outstanding BBQ Bacon burger. My son and I were not disappointed. Very good burgers. Nice atmosphere without conversation destroying loud music. Outside patio is nice with heaters if you need them. The servers were attentive without being interruptive. We had a wonderful dinner together“

“Old school California music club. Last Wednesday of the month: Songwriter Showcase.
Last night's (7/30/25) Showcase lineup was out of this world. Very exciting mix of original work by talented musicians. This night had a number of repeat appearances from the last 15 months of the program along with first-time appearances. It just keeps getting better!
Always a nice and friendly crowd responsive to and supportive of the performers.
Craft beer from Hermosa Brewing Company and Project Barley on tap. Mixed and canned drinks. Opens at 7 PM, so eat dinner first.
Can bring in food (clean up after yourself if & when you do). No wait staff: order drinks at the bar.
