We ate at San Pedro Fish Market when Ports o' Call still existed, and we decided to try this place again based on reviews here and their website. I knew the present location is temporary since a new development is underway, but we were misled and fooled by the photos posted here and elsewhere that shows a metal-covered, wharf-like building that has an old-time ambiance. That is not at all what we found on August 31. It was about 90 degrees and we found only outside picnic tables with umbrellas, all sitting in a dirt lot. No water misters, no fans, just baking in the hot sun with patchy shade. The kitchens are square temporary buildings and servers take orders and carry the food back out. We chose not to go into this fenced, gated lot because the big bouncers at the gate said the wait was 1 1/2 hours, and this was at 3:30 pm. There was no way we were going to wait in the sweltering sun only to be seated in hot, dusty conditions at a picnic table. I have no doubt the food is still good, but the surroundings are terrible and I feel cheated that there is no such building as the one shown on this website and other online locations. Ambiance is being promised that doesnt exist. We may give it a try when the new delayed development is completed, but not till then.

The Crabby patties were delicious. The only thing keeping the service and atmosphere from being 5 stars is the fact that it's underwater. The service would be perfect if Squidward wasn't such a big jerk. But exceptional food honestly. I like Spongebob, he's a cool and awesome frycook. It's a shame the place had to close down but I hope it can reopen because boy, I'd be dropped on the deck and flop like a fish.

Got the combo platter for $60 and very disappointed, super bland and tasteless. Ordered tortillas but weren’t given any. This place feels like a knockoff to the famous San Pedro Fish Market next door. Avoid this place.

9/15 update: Haven’t been here in two years can’t say what was permanently removed and what stayed. Hope it’s a great experience as it use to be 5 years ago.Old:You seriously have to be here an hour before they open which is 10am. Otherwise you are in a line that exceeds 1 mile and last over 40 minuets . NO JOKE. Specially during a Saturday. This location has definitely changed since a few years back with all the reconstruction and demolition of half of what once was there. I really do look forward to seeing how this section of San Pedro will look like once it is complete.
I'm going to miss this place it was our first visit to the Crust crab we got the combo plate i think #3 With their sauce and lemons it was so good! Hopefully they'll find a place soon we can have their food
