El Taco is a decent option for a quick and affordable Mexican meal. The staff is friendly and service is prompt, but the food is not exceptional. The menu offers a variety of options, including super nachos, carne asada, cheese enchiladas, asada tacos, and beef tacos. While some dishes may be hit or miss, the Been & Cheese burrito is a notable standout. The quesadillas and flautas are also excellent, worth the drive from Orange County. The grape burritos and great tacos make it a nice location in San Pedro. With no seating available, this is a standing-room-only establishment, but its drive-thru convenience makes it a popular choice for those in a hurry. Some customer service issues have been noted during lunchtime, but the food and prices keep people coming back.
