Made a reservation through Open Table for tomorrow night. Got a text to confirm today. Went to another place tonight on that same block and walked past La Bocca Felice. Sign in the window states it was shut down by the health department. Guess we’re making other plans.

I love La Bocca Felice. I gave it an overall 1 star because we had a reservation and we showed up and the restaurant was closed. We were never notified. I hope all is well with them.

I made the reservation through Open Table, when I got to the restaurant, it was closed! While looking in the window, some guy just shewed me away, no explanation, nothing! It would have been nice to know ahead of time......

I'm staying at Crowne Plaza Hotel a few blocks away, so I was very excited to have a well rated restaurant within walking distance. I was very disappointed in the service and the food. I made a reservation and was seated quickly. The server came over after a few minutes, and she told me about the specials. I should have stayed with the short rib ragu I was going to get. I ordered the Affettati Misti antipasto. I didn't get a chance to eat very much before the entre showed up. The special was a ribeye steak in a sauce with potatoes and green beans. Nothing was seasoned at all, tasteless and bland. The green beans and potatoes were obviously cooked a long time ago and were just sitting in the kitchen waiting for someone to order them. The potatoes were stale and tasted as if they had been reheated from a few days ago. The steak was well cooked but under seasoned. If it wasn't for the sauce it was bathed in, It would have been terrible. The sauce saved the steak. The worst part of the experience was the service. My server took my order and I finished my meal before I saw her again. She never came by to see if my steak was cooked right or if I needed anything. I asked for a soda with the meal, and I finished it halfway through the meal. I finished eating and waited nearly 15 minutes to get the check. I watched her check on her other tables at least 3 times each before she came to me. When I asked for the check, she asked if I wanted a refill on my soda. She brought me the check but didn't come to run my card. The dirty dishes remained on my table for another 10 minutes before someone asked if they could take them. I asked him if I could have someone to run my card so I could leave. He was able to run my card, and I left no tip and walked out. The service was terrible, and the food was not worth the price. I could have gotten a better steak meal at Sizzler for half the price.

Hadn't been to La Bocca Felice for some time. Decided to go for my birthday. We were there around 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday. It was very quiet, which we loved actually! The server, I can't recall her name, was very nice and attentive. The food was exceptional and I have always loved the ambiance. I realize I have left less than flattering reviews in the past, but I will say they redeemed themselves! I am going to put this restaurant back on my list of restaurants to frequent.
Was way too hot to stay and eat. They did not say that their air conditioner was not working, too darn hot!

Loved this spot!! Food was good and so was the service. Our first trip to little Italy in San Pedro we were excited and this place didn't disappoint. Only issue was where was the A/C and $16 Aperol Sprtiz.

Risotto was marginal, shortribs delicious. Salmon was prepared well. Ribeye was slightly overcooked but still enjoyable. Lasagna was good. Definately would return. 4.7 overall
