Polly Ann Bakery made the cake for my recent wedding and it turned out amazing. We did a tasting about a month prior and got to try several types of cake, mixed and matched with the fillings of our choice. (side note: we also got to take home several mini cakes - score!). Everything tasted so good! We ultimately selected two layers of white cake with a layer of chocolate mousse and another layer of strawberry mousse, then a third layer of chocolate cake with a red raspberry filling. Next up was what we wanted the cake to look like. We conveyed our ideas via text and on the big day were thrilled to see how faithfully represented they were. From start to finish, working with Minerva at Polly Ann Bakery was a joy and we are over the moon with how everything turned out.

Although the staff was very nice and the cake was cute, the cake was dry and stale tasting.. seems like it was maybe a day or 2 old?

My kid was hungry , stopped by this bakery and was initially thankful something was open so early ,so close to school. I got a slice if cheese pizza, but when the lady lifted up the slice, there was a hair on the very tip. The lady said she couldn't see it, so I pulled it out and placed it on a white paperbag so she could see I wasn't lying. She gave me another slice, and a donut, but now im here eating my donut ,looking it over because theres something i dont quite like about the dough , and I see another hair- whyy!!!!!

Ordered a firetruck cake from here, agreed with the lady I placed the order with that atleast put a fire tuck print on the face of the cake; since last time they had made a great baby shark cake. The disappointment was beyond limit. I could have bought this cake from Safeway and drawn this myself. Requested the manager to give me a call, still no call. Even the 2 year old birthday boy was disappointed at how lame the cake was. I would avoid this place for events as they don’t deliver as promised and don’t take accountability if they make something terrible. They charged me $65 for this piece of junk and honestly; it’s not about the money it’s just about delivering on point which they don’t.

Hate to add on to the negative reviews because San Pedro has so few bakeries left, but I recently went for the last time for the same reasons already mentioned in the other reviews-the quality of the food and the employees, who time after time put pastries different from what was asked for in a box or boxes and seal them without displaying the contents first. Especially if the pastries were bought for someone else and once you open the box to discover the waitstaff selected whatever they felt like, you feel discouraged that you allowed them to take your money under false pretenses because you can't rely on these workers to do their jobs. I don't know if the owners or managers can't get good help but the employees are definitely lacking in any type of skills required for this job.
