Unfortunately they are racist to brown people. They wouldn't let my friends mom in. She's dark brown, they wouldn't let her in the door asking her what she was going to buy and when she said she was browsing they told her she couldn't even go in. They had no problem letting people with lighter skin completions in to browse and buy but they had a problem with her. So disappointing to be Mexican and hear about a Mexican food spot being colorist.

When I tell you I had the best chile verde of my LIIIIIIFE here!!! Hands down, without a question, the best. The meat was sooo tender!!! I couldn't stop eating it! Soooo delicious. Everything on their menu is amazing!!! The burritos, breakfast sandwich, the salsas, the beans, house made tomatillo ranch, chips with their own house made chorizo seasoning, scratch made soups! OMG and did I mention their jalapeno relish! Slap that on everything!

This was my first time at Chori-Man in San Pedro. The server was very nice and the service was great. I got there at the end of the day, bought a bean wet nachos (can't remember the name for that dish) to go. My daughter got a burrito and we thought our food was just okay. From what I could tell, it's just carry out at that location. There wasn't anywhere to sit outside. However, I like where it's located... in a neighborhood surrounded by homes (rather than businesses).

Since opening, I treat myself to a maple habanero burrito every time I make a visit back to my hometown of San Pedro. Shops like this make me proud that San Pedro is home.

On my last visit home, I decided it was time to bring my cooler bag and load it up with chorizo links to enjoy once back in Pennsylvania and gift some to a friend. I waited until closer to departure date and in this waiting, there was an unfortunate equipment malfunction so they had to close the shop for a few days. I left a sad comment on Instagram and the owner read it and sent me a DM and went above and beyond to be sure I returned to PA with a full cooler bag of chorizo.

I know this is a one off situation and they might not be able to go above and beyond all the time, but this time they were able to and I appreciate that level of care and service for their customers.

This is why I will forever treat my self to a delicious burrito every visit home. I do what I can do to be sure small business like Chori Man stay alive for all to enjoy!!

I carry seasoning salt in my car for places like this. I got the breakfast burrito as soon as it was ready, yet not a hint of smoke when I bit into it. I got extra chorizo (green and red) and it still was overpowered by the other ingredients in both taste and texture. You never get any solid, seared chorizo chunks here..the texture looked like wet bread crumbs. And if the chorizo ever touched a skillet I'd be shocked. I saw a review saying be careful of the Habanero salsa because its "so spicy"...man that thing was like red water. What I'm gathering is from the reviews, neighborhood, and the hip crowd waiting is: these are burritos for gringos. Everytime I go to one of these cool, hip, "modern" ethnic places I end up learning a hard lesson. I should've just gone to one of those old mom and pop joints with one of those numbered menus on the wall.

Basic burritos, not a lot of flavor or egg. If you're white, you'd like it, latino- you're better off making it at home. Plus it's like $15 a burrito. It's a waste.

I have to agree with Willie F's review here. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this ain't it. I know how hard it can be to make authentic chorizo and chilaquiles, so I can understand cutting some corners but...

Regardless of the flavor, paying $17 for a bag full of liquid that I had to babysit in my car until I got home was bothersome enough, but the soggy chilaquiles were just the icing on top.

Tried to order but they ignored me. Guess I wasn’t white enough 🤷‍♂️

The chorizo is unpalatable, poorly cooked and without everything they say they put in it, zero cheese, egg and so on. Horrible to the point that I had to throw it away. Expensive aside…
