The clam chowder is the best I've ever had—including the clam chowder I had in Boston. They roast the potatoes before adding to the chowder and include leeks. So delicious! The drinks were also spot on good. We will definitely be back!

It was the usual great dining experience! Service was excellent and it was not too busy so it was quiet.

Had a great night catching up with friends at Trani's Dockside on a Monday night! we got there early it was quiet and within the hour it was lively and a lovely musician was playing beautiful music. I highly recommend the cocktails to kick off the night.

Amazing food and drinks that came out quickly. Great service and ambiance. Hands down the best fine dining experience in San Pedro - maybe even the whole of the South Bay.

Great service. Scallops were amazing tonight with an amazing coconut topping. So flavorful. Smoked broccolini was amazing as always. Was awesome to find a couple local brewery taps from Burning Daylight and LA Aleworks. All around amazing experience as it has been in the past.

The food at Trani's Dockside is always interesting and delicious. We had the calamari- always excellent, a Caesar salad - delicious but the pieces of lettuce should be torn smaller, Steak - delicious seasoning but not a huge serving (we shared this), Brussel sprouts (delicious), and Strawberry shortcake- love the tartness of the Ricotta cheese with the strawberries. Service was excellent - just attentive enough. The atmosphere on Friday evening was so loud (because of cement floors) that we could not hear each other talk even two feet away from each other. Don't go here on a date if you want to converse.

We went for my husbands 40th birthday and we had such a great time! We loved the ambiance and were seated right away (with reservations). The service was quick and the waiter was always available. The raw scallops were soo good and served with these beautiful shells on ice. I shared 3 pasta dishes (the mushroom one, the gnocchi and a vegetarian with black shells). Each one was so tasty and the sauces were made just right. I thought the pricing was completely reasonable and could get a glass of wine for $12. This will be a new staple since it's so close to our home. 5 stars all around!

My wife and I started with 1/2 dozen oysters, the grilled bread and Munak Ranch tomatoes - perfect. We split the clam chowder, which was delicious! We split the tomahawk beeler pork chop, which was cooked perfectly, with the crispy brussels sprouts. We topped it off with the rosemary panna cotta, with salt caramel and pecans. We will definitely be back!

Trani's Dockside is just a great place to go. I love the ambience, the food, and the wait staff. I look forward to my favorite salad there—arugula and orange. I think they have the best calamari—very fresh! Anchovy toast is unique and tasty. Dustin and his team do an amazing job and I can not wait to return for another meal.

We've found our new favorite restaurant. We/ve taken guests to Traini's Dockside three times for lunch. I think the restaurant and bar are lovely, visually very pleasant. People are casual . . not stuffy at all. The wait staff has been perfect so far. Kind. Relaxed. ooooo the hostess did get unnecessarily snippy (called me Ma'am as tough it were the word "stupid.") I was in a good mood or I might have called management over quietly after we were seated. MyOpinion: Best clam chowder ever. Obviously fresh clams, a little brothy, definitely not pasty. Loved the heirloom tomato salad with a great combination of lettuces and flavors. On our last visit there for lunch, they agreed to split these two items between the two of us because each are served in generous portions. We need to try Trani's Dockside for dinner.

My family and I celebrated my birthday at Tranis for brunch. Food and ambience was amazing as always. The fried chicken with maple syrup was absolutely delish! The personalized birthday card was such a nice surprise. The drinks were yummy; oysters fresh; and Harpo's bread... come on! we ordered two servings! Will def keep coming back.

I love Trani's Dockside. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. Its a busy place on weekend nights and it does get noisy. We usually sit in the patio because we bring our dog and because it is just quieter. The other night we sat inside with friends and the place was really busy but service and food did not suffer at all.

If you're looking for a dining experience that's anything but ordinary, Trani's Dockside Station in San Pedro by Ports O' Call is a must-visit. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—setting the tone for an unforgettable meal. We kicked things off with a trio of starters that danced with flavor: the garlic bread was perfectly crisp and buttery, the oysters were fresh and briny, and the raw tuna tostada was a knockout—bright, bold, and beautifully balanced. Dinner was a culinary tour de force. The mushroom gnocchi was pillowy and rich, the clam chowder creamy and comforting, and the shrimp spaghetti brought a delightful coastal twist. The halibut? Flaky, tender, and cooked to perfection. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, dessert arrived. The coffee cake was warm and nostalgic, while the peach gelato was a refreshing finale that left us smiling.

The food here is always fresh and unique. There's not another restaurant nearby where you can enjoy Italian based pastas sauces, and fresh fish at this level. The service is always good and we enjoy watching the chefs go through their preparation to create such amazing dishes.
