Tonight we made reservations at Tranys for our daughter’s 20th birthday. We were impressed by the exceptional atmosphere, service and esquisite food offerings. We began with oysters-chefs selection le ______. The 1/2 dozen oysters offered such a delectable oceanic tasting that even our 10 year old was compelled toTry her first oyster. Thereafter we shared the 2pnd ribeye, flat iron steak, mushroom gnocchi and squash blossoms. It was all exceptionally prepared. We had to try a couple of desserts. We selected a gelato Oreo, espresso shots & a caramel pana cotta. Incredible exceptional, the best food ive had in the South Bay. Bravo.

The service was great, friendly and attentive. Food was really good. Cocktails were well balanced. I love the decor, the bank table is gorgeous but not ideal for comfortable dining. The panna cotta was one of the best I’ve had.

We'd been wanting to eat here for quite some time and finally had the chance on a rainy Saturday night. What a treat! Everything we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and presented. The wait staff was knowledgeable but inobtrusive. The interior design is "modern architectural" with wood and warm textures that make for an elegant and comfortable dining experience. Acoustic baffling on the ceiling helps keep the sound level down even on a busy night. Highly recommend Dockside!

Please do yourself a favor and get the calamari! So glad I work in this area to try all this food! Amazing seafood.
Staff lost track of us after seating but it was busy and not for too long. They more than made up for it with fantastic food, drinks and recommendations. Used to go to nicks on 2nd when we lived in long Beach. This fills the void and exceeds it.

Everything is yummy. Went for mom's 80th tonight with the whole family... we ate half the menu and every plate was delicious! It's a rare charming spot!

We went here last night for my daughter's 30th birthday. Let me start off by saying I had all appetizers for dinner. I was very pleased with my food. The Bleu cheese dressing on the Slab Salad was like no Bleu cheese I've ever had. Our reservation was for 745 and we arrived at 740. We were sat at 8pm. We were called in from the patio and still did not know who to follow to our table because the hostess did not greet us, and the entrance was busy, so we just stood there in bewilderment. Finally the manager let us know who to follow to our table. The place is very loud, I expected it because I did read the reviews beforehand and I can confirm it is loud. Drinks alcohol and non alcohol were good for everyone at the table. My sister said her margaritas were very good. When we ordered 2 in our party ordered the Short rib gnocchi, one ordered chicken picata, and a rigatoni was ordered. The server came back to let us know that the kitchen was out of gnocchi and offered a pasta as a replacement. The rigatoni was sent back because the pasta was still hard, no, it wasn't al dente, it was hard. I tried each one, and the rigatoni was the best. The mashed potatoes were ordered and also very tasty. The desserts were so delicious. The Sunken City and Apple crumble were ordered for the table. There was plenty to share. (Family and very close friends, so we share all the time.) The manager never came to touch the table when he was aware that an order was sent back, and they lacked and had to make substitutions. The ceiling looks like a warehouse and missing tiles. Besides that, the ambiance is nice. I would not suggest this place if you're going on a first date type thing because you can't really hear each other. I will go back for the food. The leftovers were not offered a carryout bag. Our server was nice and did his best. Reserve a table in advance you may still have to wait but it was worth it.
