I’ve had many of the dishes here, when it’s good, it’s very good. The vermicelli bowl with grilled meat and all the toppings was extremely flavorful and delicious last time I got it. The meat was just perfectly grilled and had so much flavor. The bhan mi sandwich is also very traditional, with the pate and really soft baguette.
The portions are a bit small. And it is a bit expensive. But I guess that’s Marin county.
What I don’t like is that the ordering experience is completely anonymous and either online or through ordering kiosks that ask you a hundred questions. It’s like ordering with a robot, and it’s just unpleasant. Especially touching the screen that a hundred other people have touched right before eating, it’s not great. Also, the way the menu and ordering is laid up is annoying and difficult to use if you don’t go there all the time.
Part of ordering at a restaurant like this is having someone “take care” of your order, maybe ask a question, maybe get a recommendation. That’s not happening here. It’s just anonymous. And then they expect a tip? No. I’m not tipping if I’m doing all the ordering work myself at these prices. If you took care of me, I would tip you. A tip is for service. I assume assembling a sandwich if what I’m actually paying for.
The atmosphere inside is loud and not clean. The tables were dirty, the music was so old, and so loud, it was as if they were telling the customer “don’t hang out in here”.
And finally, the brief interaction with the person that gave me my drink and sandwich was unpleasant too. I don’t think she was happy that I didn’t tip.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews, sometimes I’ve gotten somewhat disappointing meat on my sandwich (which is my preferred item here).
Anyway, I do wish them well, but please make the stupid ordering kiosks optional, clean the place up, turn down the annoying music, actually interact with your customers, who knows, maybe it would help everyone have a better experience.

This has become one of my go-to places in Marin for vegan takeout. Their crispy tofu banh mi is perfection - such delicious marination of the tofu, snappy fresh veggies, served on a perfectly crisp French-style bread. To make it even more mouthwatering, ask for a complimentary little cup of chili oil you can drizzle over it. Ordering ahead of time online is a breeze, the location is easy to access from the highway, and the food is always ready for me when I arrive. Thank you for all the wonderful sandwiches over the years, Banh Mi Zon!

Stopped here after visiting the Marin County Civic Center (and a local farmers market) during a trip up the coast. The (vegan) Bahn mi were solid -- not the best I've ever had but also completely recommendable. I believe some of the appetizers were also vegan as well. Weather permitting, the patio out front is a really nice place to eat!
Mediocre food,, steep prices for little portions...

We were looking for a light option for dinner. I love a good Banh Mi. This did not disappoint. It was the best Banh Mi I have ever had. It was much bigger than I expected and had a fantastic flavor.
The workers were going stem by stem prepping cilantro when we came in. The food was fresh and tasty. My husband loved his BBQ pork bowl!
Vegetarian options: They had a few vegetarian options on the menu.

Tofu bowl is hands down my favorite, some of the most flavorful tofu I’ve had (and the whole bowl is delicious and packed with veggies)
They do fry it, but it’s way better than other places that just cut up a raw block of unflavored tofu and throw it in.

Vegetarian options: The crispy tofu banh mi was perfect! Juicy and flavorful and not too dry. Their bread is also amazing. All the ingredients were fresh and crunchy. Best banh mi I’ve had in a while.

Chicken pho is the best, especially if you have cold. Bahn mi are pretty good too. Good spot for a quick lunch!

This isn’t boba, it’s watered down milk. Hands down the worst boba ever had. I ordered the black sugar milk tea and it was a glass of milk with old boba that tasted like water with a hint of gasoline. I asked for a new one and was given a Thai tea. Even worse with no flavor and old boba. Woman was also not able to communicate in English. Never coming back

Bbq Pork was lacking flavor, bread was good. My girlfriend had a piece of glove baked into her bread ?. $11.50 for a small bahn mi that was mostly veggies was disappointing.

Ordered a tofu vermicelli bowl for lunch. The tofu was nonexistent, it was just batter fried. There were 3 pieces of carrots and cucumbers. The lettuce was wilted mixed greens and the sauce was flavorless. The peanuts were throw in whole not chopped up. No cilantro, no mint. I ended up taking everything out of the bowl and adding my own tofu and vegetables , mint, cilantro, and remade the sauce with the noodles they sent. So basically, I spent $30 for cooked vermicelli noodles. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had.
