The dining experience at Caleruega is quite awful and disappointing. For context as of this writing, I am a first year first semester student at Dominican University. Also as of now the main company running the dining hall is The Culinart Group. The food has been all disappointing, often low quality, and poor diversity/ options. Breakfast is the same food everyday, standard American breakfast. Lunches and dinners vary from day to day but they almost always disappoint with low quality foods or poor perpetration. There are some serious quality issues with their foods. Since coming here after means I have been consistently getting upset stomachs. This is a complaint shared by many students. In addition to that in the few months that I’ve been here I and my classmates have found everything from hair to other contaminants in the food. In addition to that for the few meat options they have, almost all the time it is either under or overcooked.
The staff have been quite unhelpful. Once I asked for a to go box since I had to go before I could finish my food and when I asked a staff member for it she immediately shrugged me off and said no they don’t have one, which I know is total BS because I know they offer to go boxes but for some reason they are reluctant to give me one.
I hope this is something that can be fixed in the future however for now it seems like they are just scamming me of money for low quality frozen food that I could cook myself. I’d warn future students to beware of the food hall.

All the staff were welcoming inviting the decoration for the month of April with spectacular. Very warm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming . I Wish they had outside seating with a fire pit.

Amazing food and love the variety with so many clean spaces to dine.
The good thing is you have many options. Like, you have the hot food buffet. Salad buffet. Sandwiches buffet. Desert buffet. Also many offer for drinks. Water. Sodas. Coffees. Juices. Everything. And also a nice area outside where you can enjoy your lunch at the sun and green grass on the sunny days.

The breakfast and brunchs are fine. But regular lunchs and dinners no. And you pay expensive for what you receive. When I was studying there the buffet use to cost U$14. Now I guess it is costing something around U$25 - U$30.
I have read many reviews stating that the food is inedible. My experience differs completely. I've had free-range chicken, hamburgers and fries, pot roast, pizza, salad bar, breakfast burritos, eggs, and bacon, and various other food items and all have been good. Not a five-star restaurant good, but good for a reasonable price for the area. In fact for the amount of food and quality of food, this place is amazing. Good luck finding the same quality and selection going to a fast food restaurant. Heck, last time I went to In-and-out, my double double meal cost more than my meal at Caleruega.

Great selection with vegan, vegetarian, pesquetarian, and omnivorous options. They change the menu every day so depends what day you come.I wish the food stayed warm longer but the taste and quality is great for $10It is also open to the public for the same price!
