Food was not that great, portion size for price was not good. Not impressed at all and would not recommend!
Seriously delicious flavors, and cuisine from my homeland! Chef Felix has the touch for sure. Love, love Caribbean Spices, 4th St, San Rafael! The griot and the snapper alone are well worth the drive/detour. Everything is flavorful and delicious. Will go back again and again despite the long drive. Top marks!

Caribbean Spices Restaurant is an amazing place with delicious food and great ambiance. The decor gives a Caribbean cafe by the beach vibe, with relaxing music and cute decorations. The oxtails are incredibly tender, the Hispaniola cocktail is sweet and tart, and the griot is so good. The calypso shrimp is tasty but on the sweet side. You can choose your plantains to be savory or sweet. The pikliz is phenomenal and the passion fruit salad dressing is drinkable. The owner is friendly and even gave tips for making jerk chicken. The customer service is great and the atmosphere is welcoming. A must-try for anyone looking for delicious Haitian cuisine.
