While I cannot be sure, it appears as though this place has closed. I tried calling and no one picked up and there is a for lease sign in the door. How unfortunate.

This place is amazing. From the food to the decor to the service to the ridiculously comfy chairs, I loved everything about it!The ambiance is great, relaxing music, cute decorations really give you the feeling of being in a little Caribbean cafe by the beach. There's nothing to complain about the food or drink, literally everything we ordered tasted delicious.Hispaniola cocktail: had a thicker texture due to fruit puree(?), super sweet but balanced with tartness.Oxtails: most tender I've ever had, good amount of sauce, even some marrow - only caveat is that it may not come with the piklas/slaw the other entrees come withCalypso shrimp: tender, tasty, but on the sweet side.Griot: sooo good, and comes with a sauce that I just want to put on everythingYou can pick your plantains to be savory or sweet, but can also ask for a little of both. The owner asked if we liked hot sauces and brought two different types for us and even their condiments are remarkable. Sounds like they're house made and full of both flavor and heat. Citrusy and garlicky. We visited doing a pretty quiet weekend lunchtime. The owner came out and chatted with us, even giving us some tips for our own jerk chicken recipe (the key is sour orange juice!). I felt so welcome, it was impossible not to like this place. Please give it a try!

The jerk chicken was amazing, the oxtail was so tender and sumptuous, the pikliz phenomenal and I could drink the passion fruit salad dressing. The best restaurant food I’ve had in some time. Can’t wait to go back!

My first time ever tasted Haitian food and it was amazingly delicious. Very similar to my culture or village food from Asia. Great customer service as well as the atmosphere. We appreciate the owner and her son. We will be back.

Wow. The Jamaican Jerk chicken was so good. I've been in San Rafael for 3 years and had never been here. Can't believe I've wasted so much time. The chicken is incredibly tender, I got some of their habanero hot sauce and drenched my rice and red beans with it. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.**Returned already** Came back for the creole pulled pork and it was also great. Homemade rolls were excellent and the pulled pork wasn't too fatty, just the right amount of brightness in the sauce.

I'm Haitian American from the east coast where it's Caribbean food is on every corner but not in northern cali When I stumbled upon this restaurant I HAD to try it! I ordered the fried snapper and it was sooo good! Authentic flavor and spices. I can't wait to come back so I can try the rest of the menu. I was lazy so I doordashed but the food came hot and packaged right. Only thing is I didn't get my salad, utensils and napkins but other than everything was on point!!! I'm so happy you guys are in the area and will always have my support.

I came here with my 3 year old son on a Tuesday evening. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Guerline served us was very kind to me and my son. We ordered the Legume with goat, rice and peas and plantain. My son loves Haitian food. We will definitely be back.

Haitian American from Miami moves to California 10 years ago, assumes she will never have Haitian food again outside of her mom’s house….until finding Caribbean Spices! The food is delicious and authentic. We also had amazing service during our visit and the woman serving us couldn’t be sweeter. I’m so exited to return with friends and family.

I have only had the Jerk Chicken plate so far and it is simply fabulous!!! The chicken is so well marinated and spiced. The pikliz (think of it as maybe Carribean slaw), plantains, salad, a very unique kind of rice, all make this a wholesome and yummy plate of food. Very fulfilling for the stomach and the soul.
