I asked for salt at the drive-up window. The lady asked me three times what I wanted. Then she laughed at me. I'm elderly and I didn't have my dentures in because I was anticipating I was going to eat, and disabled. I can only assume she was discriminating against me because of my teeth, at least that's what it felt like and my only way of concluding why she treated me so utterly disrespectful! This is so contrary to the wonderful service I get to Folsom location there are the girls are always so sweet to me always give me my salt because they know me. I find this reverse discrimination to be somewhat common here in San Rafael where it's primarily a Hispanic community. If you're white you're treated with disdain.

Bawk bawk! ? I strutted my feathers over to El Pollo Loco, and let me tell you, this place really knows how to treat a chicken right! Sure, the location isn’t the best—kinda tucked away in a spot you might miss if you’re not paying attention—but hey, at least there’s good parking! I didn’t have to flap my wings too far to find a spot.
The menu? Oh, it’s like a clucker’s paradise! So many tasty meals and sides to peck at, from juicy chicken (sorry, cousins) to delicious mac and cheese that’s so creamy it’ll make your feathers curl. The food’s not just tasty; it’s good quality too—way better than those pricey Chipotle burritos. Plus, it’s all pretty easy on the beak, price-wise.
But, uh, can we talk about those weird stairs at the entrance? First, you go up, then immediately back down again. What’s up with that? It’s like someone was playing a prank on us chickens. Still, I didn’t let it ruffle my feathers too much.
Overall, I’d definitely scratch around here again. It’s a cluckin’ good place to fill up your belly without emptying your wallet! ??

This place gave me food poisoning. I ordered the toastado salad bowl. I was sick for 4 days. The department of Health needs to inspect this place. Something is not right. The ratings will go down and customers will be lost. What's not going to continue happening is this restaurant getting customers sick. This specific location gets an "F" as their grade of bad business. I warn all customers to GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION for the sake of your health. They will violate your trust. Owner of the restaurant, don't waste your time replying back to me. This location needs to go out of business just as Wendy's did. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.

What a rip, got a double chicken salad for 13.25 it was fresh salad the rice and beans portions were just terrible you can loose weight eating here, half the food in a burrito for 13 bucks just not a good deal I will be pollo loco to eat here again, rip off...
In order to make something I could return and eat, first off make it bigger for 12$ geez, the taco shell was a stale chip it was of poor quality and half the height of normal taco salads makde the whole meal cheaply made go to the mexican place in point Richmond by the corner pub then pizza then 10$ taco salads, so they have a crisp taco shell fresh, next black or refried beans and rice not a table spoon but a good amount the stuff is cheap don't be stingy, next well keep it fresh the meat wasn't fresh either while I was looking at it being grilled giving me the illusion I was getting fresh BBQ, well that's enough good luck
The place looks really good from the outside but once inside is like a burger king, you can make the place better not so fast food. Work on your menu presentation.
