A long overdue review of Lindsay and Live Love Bake which provided this stunning and delicious cake to compliment my partner's 50th Birthday Party's theme of "Woodsy yet Elegant" spread. I initially didn't contact her because her site said she was sold out for several weeks. However, in desperation, I wrote to her after many bakers in the area let me down with their non-responsiveness, leading me on with a first response, and then not replying to my questions. I literally was left within 10 days of needing a cake and was getting super worried. I was so delighted when she responded the next day saying she would see what she can do! I immediately sent her a list of 9 questions as well as a sketch of what I was hoping to see to match the feel of the event (see below). She responded and answered all my questions the next morning (she even apologized for the late response) I know other bakers probably are not used to seeing sketches, but I am a very selective designer myself and have ordered cakes for so many other occasions (never with a sketch), only to have been disappointed with their lack of understanding style, taste and presentation quality. A mid-century birthday is pretty big and I was determined to get something unique, delicious, masculine and gorgeous, and found it with Live Love Bake! To feed a small group of 22 people, I ordered a 9" single tier Yellow cake with a caramel drizzle and crushed sea salted butter toffee pecan filling, (pecans supplied by me), American buttercream frosting done smooth with gold pearls coming up from the bottom (also supplied by me due to the urgency). It was gorgeous, delicious, and just as I sketched! All I had to do was add the succulents to the top:) The next day after the party, a few friends contacted me asking for Lindsay's contact info. They loved the cake, which for Marin Foodies, is a huge compliment! I will continue to order all future special cakes from Live Love Bake and Lindsay's amazing understanding to detail as well as customer service! She achieved exactly what I was hoping for, and did a great job packing the cake for transport and tips on how to deal with the heat during my son's summer birthday party. My son was so happy with his special chocolate pirate cake, and even has a picture of it next to his bed. Lindsay set the bar very high for birthday cakes and I'll be back to hire her again!

Lindsay did an amazing job on the cakes for our wedding! We ordered a 6" cutting cake for ourselves and two sheet cakes for our guests (almond with almond cream and vanilla with raspberry). We loved our cutting cake and many of our guests told us that the sheet cakes were delicious! Lindsay was wonderful to work with during the planning process. She was always very responsive to our questions via email, and our in-person tasting appointment was a lot of fun. We tried five cake flavors and talked through our design preferences. It was clear that she totally understood our vision and she never pressured us to have a larger cake. I'm disappointed that cake shops nowadays, in Marin county, for the price you are expected to pay for the custom work and home made art, that artificial colors are still used to dye the cakes. In the year of 2023? Why are we behind the times in the US? Additionally, I inquired further if the buttercream at least was free of dye and did not get a straight answer. This is why we decided not to go with this bakery and others we reviewed on in search of our son's birthday cake

Solid wedding cake. Came on time and was easy to work with them. They decorated it well. People ate about half the cake and the other half was left but it was a solid velvet cake in terms of taste and the frosting was good. Wasn't too rich or sugary maybe a bit on the denser side as it was stacked. It made for nice pictures.

Amazing cake, mini cupcakes, and service from Lindsay at Live Love Bake! Lindsay made my gender reveal dreams come true. From the execution of my design to answering my questions about flavors, colors, and frosting - everything was perfect! We had a 6inch cake and 24 mini cupcakes. The inside of our cake displayed the color blue in different shades and inside the mini cupcakes there was blue to indicate baby boy. Everything was beautiful and tasted amazing!!!! I would highly recommend working with Lindsay! I had her make a small cake and cookies to celebrate my mom's retirement. We used pictures of my mom, and sketches of her store and logo. LL Bake provided adorable rock and roll themed cookies for my husband's 40th birthday bash. It was during Covid so we only had 11 guests but the cookies were the perfect favor! I was able to pick up the cookies contactless and everything was heat sealed and packaged individually which I really appreciated. The cookies were incredibly delicious and so adorable. She was even able to take an image that my event planner had made for the party and put them onto a cookie which was so awesome. So happy with services, product and pricing was fair too!!! Excellent!
