If you ever in San Rafael on a Saturday and Sunday, and you craving for some Mole Mexican cuisine or Mexican food in general. I suggest this place they have a buffet all day which they have menudo, posole, chilaquiles, and all kinds of other meats as well as their name says it, “ Los Moles Hecho En Casa, “ seven types of mole they have, and fresh fruit, coffee in a pot, which in Spanish is called, “ café de olla. “ so come taste this place. It’s beautiful spot downtown. Love life, love food and shut up and eat. #shutupandeat!

They have a okay buffet style restaurant, went during father's day and they raised the price to 35 $ per head , they charge you a tip automatically, and charge you a $50 fee for showing up without reservation . No dogs allowed inside only if you eat outside . Not really worth it for the price they charge you .

Loved this restaurant! Great food, awesome service , and close to the smart train. Can't wait to go again. $30 w/drinks per person.

Ordered vegetarian enchiladas with mole poblano and agua Fresca to go. Everything was 10/10. Best Mexican food I’ve had in Marin County. Also, the restaurant is perfectly decorated. Will definitely come back to dine in and try the buffet or other menu items.

A Mexican restaurant with no chips and salsa. Loud Mexican music with static. They turned down the music just before I could complain. Someone else must have said something. I ordered crispy tacos which were not crispy. My plate was bland so, I asked for hot sauce. I'm not interested in returning to this restaurant. There are better Mexican restaurants in the area. The non alcoholic drinks are over priced

So many mole options! The margs are made with agave is my only reason for 4 stars. The service is incredible and the food is delicious and well priced

This restaurant does not use OpenTable - even though I made a reservation. Anyway, they had plenty of seating and the meal was awesome. Great Moley!

I had requested that we be seated near the front window. However, the host insisted on seating us (6 people) in the back room. I immediately noticed a very unpleasant smell (like a moldy cellar), but didn't say anything until after we were finished, as my sense of smell is stronger than that of most of my friends. When I finally said something, two of my friends said they noticed a musty smell. For me, it pretty much ruined the meal; I want to smell the food, not the room I'm in. The food was good, the service excellent, but I will probably never go back.

They have Tuesday Tacos!!!! And also quesabirrias menu and drinks on Tuesdays. Only the drinks go from 3pm-6pm but the rest of its every Tuesday all day.
Plus this amazing buffet of Mexican soups this places has on the weekend I like their food!

We went on a Tuesday the place look cleans nice and very cozy.
We got tacos table and quesabirrias and I really like the flavor! They have a specific menu that you can order from but for my point of view is worth it!
Plates have a great presentation and the service was 5/5!
They do also have decent price for the quality of food!
For drink they have good margaritas and we order the “mexicanita” beer from the brewing El cielo!!!! (Great lager beer)

Here some photos!

10/10, incredible bang for buck happening here. We ordered the soft taco plate with carnitas, poblano mole plate, and a cucumber margarita (yum). The prices could be much higher given the quality of food. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was calm. A+ would eat again.

The thing is that to call a Mexican dish Mole it is because it deserves the name, not because they want to attract people, the truth is this place is very far from equaling a mole dish, mole with roast chicken ? the chicken must be cooked and the broth is to INTEGRATE it into the mole paste or rice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.-*

Very good quesabirria, and they even offered it with chicken. But this place is known for their Moles. Fresh made tortillas were very good!

Staff were friendly, kind, and courteous. Atmosphere is very vibrant.

Food was so disappointing, it was empty at 8pm on a Saturday. It was stuffy inside and there were spider webs everywhere. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and the huevos rancheros. The huevos rancheros was two undercooked eggs on a plain tortilla with a side of refried beans. The shrimp ceviche was so soupy and came with four soggy tortilla chips. I heard so many good things about this place I was bummed.
