This place is hella good! I got the no. 6, Pastrami. The bread is the key but the stuff under the bread is great too. Nice big ol Sammy for a decent price. This is a San Rafael institution that just keeps on giving.

Called to place an order on my lunch break and could not reach anybody only a voicemail that told me that there are no online orders only by website. Placed the order online and they told me it would be a 25 minute wait for my sandwich mind you only have a 30 minute lunch break. I get there end up waiting more than 30 minutes for my food and was told that I owe an additional four dollars because I added bacon on my sandwich. The food is good but paying the price of a half sandwich just to add two strips of bacon is absolutely absurd

Great place to get a quick, good sandwich on a break from work. Hasn't been a time that I don't get in and out of there in less than ten minutes (to go). Fresh sourdough bread (hence the name). Workers work with a smile and have always been kind.

It has been my favorite sandwich spot, but won't be going there anymore. They clearly do not appreciate customer that spends a lot. I bought 9 sandwiches for about $170, each one having extra meat and avocado. Ordered four number four and five number five. Each being made the same, didn't customize the sandwiches. When my order was ready, I was told next time order on the app or call ahead of time. Clearly they appreciate the $15 customer whole lot more than someone that spends over $100. And when I got home, they had given me all number 5 sandwiches. And for the first time the sandwiches didn't taste as good.
