Really glad they offer a gluten free bun option, but $3 upcharge isn't great
This was a great gem to find. Hamburgers were thick and juicy. Some of the best sweet potato fries, hot, crunchy on outside soft in center. Only draw back is that the y need more inside seating but well worth the visit.
I was traveling with my partner to Stinson Beach and we just really wanted a burger. After visiting and having a good time, we looked up a burger place on our route heading back to Chico and came across Phyllis Giant Burger. We ordered and ate and had a good time. Even had a casual conversation with a family there. So sweet and kind. We had never been there before and it was amazing! They are also very understanding people.
This is an amazing burger bar in San Rafael, one of the best burgers I have ever had the pleasure of eating anywhere in the world.
This place is a gem. Portions are generous. Food comes fast and tastes amazing.
I would have rated much higher in the past, but the recent turkey burger was a sad disappointment! It use to be the best turkey burger in Marin, now, I assume it is a frozen Costco style patty, dry, over salted sadness. I guess no more burgers for me in Marin.
Picked up a $15 cold, bland, undercooked medium burger.
What a crazy good burger, thanks guys!
Fat juicy burgers for a fat populace!

About once a month I get a craving for these Big juicy local grass fed beef burgers and crispy fries at a great price. My gf and I get out of there for under $30 (no drinks). Took me a while to eat here but once I did… well well well… my favorite burger fix in Marin for the past ten years!

Easily the best in town. Real burger joint.
Super tasty burgers and perfectly crunchy curly fries! Would go again and again. Staff is also very friendly.

I've loved most of the food that I ordered from Phyllis' but my experience with recent orders have been disappointing to say the least. I don't know what happened really, maybe they changed the cooks or something, I don't know. All I know is that the burgers used to be well put together regardless of how gigantic they were, now I've been getting extremely flat burgers that.. "spill out"? Not sure how to explain, but that's not really the biggest issue. The thing is that I love their onion rings and in the past have gotten deliciously cripy onion rings where they're not greasy and perfectly breaded with not a lot of crumbling. Now when I get them delivered they come all smushed together, they're greasy and the breaded part just doesn't stick.
Someone else mentioned they don't wear gloves and I didn't know that because I order through apps, but it would be great if the staff would start wearing gloves! I still want to eat at this place but will wait a while to see if the food gets better again.

We usally love place like this(hole in the wall spots) buuuuutttt……this is not our flavor at all. First I must point out, no one wears gloves. Just bare handed putting the burger on cheese on everything. I don’t like that at all. The burger was disgusting. Meat was undercooked. I took one bite and spit it in a napkin. Gag worthy to say the least. I don’t get the hype around the place. To each their own. They obviously get good business.
