Sabor has been one of the best Mexican restaurants we found in all of California!
Owned by a family who uses their own family recipes in their menu, they have never failed to delight!
In addition to regular date nights, my partner and I have brought many friends who were all similarly tickled with the incredible selection of delicious food and wonderful service. Very quickly they became like good old friends and recognized us as we walked in and knew which seats we liked and our customary order, so it was always like coming to a big family party instead of like going out to a restaurant.
Some of our favorite items were the specialty Margaritas, the cafe de olla, and the enchiladas. If you get a chance to visit during their brunch, their chilaquiles are phenomenal!

So good! Fabulous flavors and presentation. Enjoyed the pineapple margarita and flautas to start. Loved the fish tacos and their “green mole” enchiladas with the pumpkin seeds. Looking forward to coming back. And service was excellent, didn’t catch our server’s name but he right on point.

A Rinconcito in San Rafael Ca, where the flavor and quality of the food makes you remember that grandmother's kitchen where the pampering and hot food was like being in heaven and the lady was so nice and polite who served us. That made us feel at home. Thank you Sabor a México for such a pleasant afternoon..

An amazing experience from the moment you walk in. The asthetic of this restaurant is on point. Everything ties together perfectly. The servers are quick to greet you and get you seated. Before I could even look at the menu, I had chips with an amazing salsa and drinks ordered. I got the Mole burrito which came with a small salad and a frien plantain. The burrito was moist and full of flavor. The salad seemed small at first but ended up perfectly accenting the burrito! To top it all off the friend plantain was amazing, perfectly sweet, crispy, and full of flavor. This resturant would make for a great date night or just a trip with the family! To top it all off, the price was low enough to keep me coming back!
Order for pickup: 1x 5 taco special The lingua was thin and dry, the fish was good, the chicken was good, the al pastor was good 1x chicken tortilla soup The soup was pretty good -but too spicy. 1x Mole Carnitas burrito The mole sauce was okay but too sweet. The burrito itself was poorly made, in that it was basically a carbohydrate festival with almost no protein at all. It was filled with beans, cheese, and rice, but little-to-no carnitas. I had to search to find the very few small pieces of carnitas that were in the burrito.
I can't recommend any of these dishes.
I might go back to try it again, hoping they had an off night. But it's equally likely I might not go back.

Been my local favorite since 2021. Freshest ingredients and homemade chips, sauces, tortillas, beans from scratch, no lard, etc. Everything we’ve tried is very tasty, wholesome and clean. Going back w my family tomorrow for lunch.
