Took the Smart train from Windsor to San Rafael to celebrate the wife's birthday birthday with her girlfriends. Only a block walk from the train station, and a short wait for a table. The host was terrific, very efficient and knowledgeable.
You order and pay and then proceed to the table. Drinks came as soon as we sat down and the delicious food shortly after.
A fun, busy place with take out food and gifts right next door.

Has to be top 3 restaurants in all the bay area!
It's been years and I keep coming back.
Anytime I can stop by I will, or bring anyone that's visiting the bay I will.
It's a new tradition if my friends haven't had Puerto Rican food.
Just stopped by this weekend and I think it was the best it could have ever been.
The bistec sandwich was amazing.
Always try all the plantains in all forms and this time I tired the regular flan and it was perfect.
Now will be a must Everytime and always get the ponche. Don't forget it.
Been coming here for more than 10 years now and I'll still keep coming by.
Keep up the amazing work Sol food.

Surprisingly good! I’ve had Cuban food before and wasn’t crazy about it, but this place, recommended by friends of mine, turned out to be really great. A bonus is that they have many vegan options on the menu, and they are clearly marked. It was a little difficult to hear each other because the place was very crowded and noisy, but overall we still had a good time.

Always delicious! Had the creole shrimp plate. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere to boot!
Good place to grab smoothie like Pina Collata. Friendly & helpful staff. Paid around $7-8 plus taxes.

I had seen this restaurant for a while and decided to try it out, I ordered the bistec encebollado which was alright but it was served with white rice mildly flavored and not with arroz con gandules which adds more flavor to the plate and it was what I was looking forward to in my plate. I didn't like that there is limited seating when full you have to share a table with other people.

Everyone in my group tried something different and it was all delicious! I had the steak sandwich with extra pink sauce. Yum! We went late on a Wed and it wasn’t busy- perfect for a group of four to sit and chat.

The rice was like glue, the beef was tasteless and super dry, beans boiled in water (no taste), and the sala was wilted. This can not be Puerto Rican cuisine. I read that they used very tasty spices and that their meats were juicy and full of flavor. At the prices they're charging you would think they could at least afford salt.

Waited an hour in line with the local hipsters. Found a cockroach in my salad. Was told it’s authentic. Plantains suck

Delicious food, the bistec sandwich was flavorful! The aguas frescas were also tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive. Seating space is limited, so depending on the group size, it can be a wait to be seated. Can also get loud at times.
