The food was done very well here which I found surprising for downtown San Rafael. I live in San Jose where there’s so many choices of good authentic Mexican food. The taco salad I got was so filling I couldn’t finish. I decided to try refried beans instead of whole but it made it kinda watery. That’s what I get for trying something out of ordinary for me so I’ll stick with my whole beans. The salsa bar was good as well and had all the salsas I like. I wish they had grilled...

This is possibly the best little restaurant in the area.
Unlike most other establishments in the area they are not focusing on the ‘fancy’ crowd, but to provide excellent service and food quality.
Also, as a ‘real’ restaurant of this kind, they have cabeza, which is a staple I am always looking for.

This place is ridiculously good. Especially the soups. How good are the soups? Well, it's 86 degrees right now in San Rafael and I still went ahead with ordering the soup for lunch. That's how good the soups are.
