As a pass-through visitor, thought that a lunch at what looked like downtown San Rafael's classic diner would fit the bill. Lots of less-than-optimal issues - it's a little tired (not in a charming way, more like in a 'we don't own a duster' way); a handful of dishes were unavailable due to them being out of some staple items (no chicken? no potatoes? hmmm); the staff seems to be muddling through, but the frustration on their part was obvious.

Jessica took great care of us.

Parking: Super easy on a Sunday morning. On the other days you may have to search for street parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes prepare for minor wait

This was a fantastic find while only travelling through!! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was excellent and portions were huge! A definite stop when we drive through again!
