This place could be awesome like it was when it was Shabooms, but to much on the Latin music. Your scaring people away. No wonder a small attendance.

After getting 3 rounds of drinks with a open tap of a 100$ or more with my coworkers (who was covering the bill) a security guard came up to me and my sister (African American women ) said we had to leave the bar because we weren’t buying drinks…he only said that to us tho? We were having a good time, the music was great, we danced. But to get approached and stared at for 30 minutes while he was behind the bar is wild. We told him we will not be moving and he proceeded to shove us out of the night club and told us we had to leave because we weren’t buying drinks. This man was overly grown with big muscles built like a ninja turtle, looks like he eats raw meat for dinner and had no business laying a finger on us. He pushed us so hard my sister fell to the ground. That is not how you handle a situation. This was my first time here and I’ve been living in the town for 4 years and I’m not from California. This has never happened to me. If we needed to give up the seats he should’ve said that. Not cus we not buying shots every 5 minutes. He was rude to us upon entry. There’s no way we had to get escorted out the establishment if we didn’t disturb the peace! I felt like we were targeted to see if he can get a reaction out of us and to make a scene to highlight his night at work because nothing like this goes on in San Ramon we all know. We don't carry ourselves like some junkies or cause commotion for no reason. I’m a lady and to get treated like a peasant this hurts and for him to be a black man as well…so yeh its big no for me.

It just seems like incompetent management. Your website is outdated and inconvenient being able to make reservations to a closed restaurant. Hours incorrectly advertised. Instead of properly addressing the issue and informing all the customers who made reservations that the restaurant is closed before they show up, you leave yourself a five star review stating that the restaurant is closed because you knew people would come onto yelp to leave a review.

This business really needs to update their website! Because there is NO indication online that the steakhouse is closed! My boyfriend and I made Valentine's Day reservations, only to arrive at what looks like an abandoned building. There were about 7-8 other couples also wandering the area looking for a restaurant in which they also had proof of reservations. Unbelievable. So unprofessional and inconsiderate. Your lack of transparency really messed up a handful of couples' Valentine's Day plans. Couldn't even put up a sign?? I would give zero stars if I could.

Cheyenne ..

I would give 0 star if i could. Made reservations on valentines day at 730 getting a text 30 min before that they cancelled because apparently its been their hours for a long time that they close early. VERY MISLEADING and way to ruin peoples plan for the night.

I work for Gaucho and just want to let everyone know we are no longer open as a restaurant (only nightclub), we are experiencing issues with Opentable taking reservations, but we are not open anymore for dinner. So sorry for any inconvenience!

Looking forward to the next

I decided to check this place out because they were promoting live Salsa bands on a Wednesday, and I love live music and wanted to support a venue that supports the arts. I think they charged me and my date $20 or $25 each to get in, which felt a little steep for a Wednesday, but I understand the cost of live music and wanted to support. I showed up hungry and thirsty as I wanted to support the restaurant, but was told there was no place to sit. I looked around and there were tons of empty tables (the place wasn't very full), but was told I needed to buy a bottle in order to be able to sit, and the cheapest bottle was $80. I thought that was ridiculous. So I went to the bar, and ordered a cocktail for my date and a lemonade for myself because I was driving. The cocktail was fine but the lemonade was brown and muddy and smelled bad. It wasn't a fancy organic lemonade or anything, it was just supposed to be like a minute made from the soda gun. I pointed it out to the bartender, and she acknowledged that it was disgusting but just shrugged her shoulders and said thats how it came out of the gun. She didn't offer to replace it, or try a different soda gun or apologize or anything. I ordered something else, but she still charged me for the undrinkable drink. I ordered some food because I was hungry, but had to eat it standing up. It wasn't horrible food, but it also wasn't particularly good, and was very expensive. I think ended up spending about $180 bucks that night just for 2 people, and left halfway through the live music. The band was good but the sound was bad, and they didn't have a stage or anything for the band, and zero lights on the band. They were just playing in the darkest corner of the club, and you could barely see them at all. I commend them for trying to support the arts, but this place sucks and won't be coming back.

I love this place. Food is so delicious and comes in generous servings. A little bit on the saltier side but not overwhelming. The staff is super friendly. If you sit inside, beware you'll probably leave with your hair and clothes smelling like food. But that's ok since their food smells amazing. Definitely a great place to bring your family.

Great food, great ambiance and great service! All the difference cuts of meat left us satisfied and on the verge of a food coma. 5 Platinum Stars!

We wanted to try out this reopened night club from what used to be ShBoom. We arrived at around 10:45pm. The place was about 75% crowded, the DJ music sounded good and kept people dancing. So we got a table and ordered some finger foods and drinks. The waitress and service were good, got our stuff in a timely matter. But what started a downfall towards our decision to leave early was that after 12 midnight, the atmosphere seemed to have shifted, it was this type of new school rap music the DJ kept playing over and over that was in our opinion no longer danceable and fun, by 12:30 the crowded night club had reduced down to about 50%, so we left the place, and as we were walking to our car, in the parking lot, another couple were complaining to us about the music.
