We ordered vada pav for starters, dal and tawa paneer with chapati and rice roti for mains, and everything was exceptional. The service and staff were also very accommodating and friendly. We asked for dal for kids and it was sooo good, very fresh, homemade to perfection. Absolutely loved every dish, tawa paneer being our favorite. Oh and the best mango lassi ever. Their interior is also very traditional, maharashtrian. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

I recently visited Swaraj and had a wonderful dining experience. I ordered Sabudana Vada, Chicken Chilli and Chicken Sukha, and both dishes were absolutely fantastic — flavorful, well-cooked, and perfectly spiced. For dessert, I tried the Anjir Kulfi and Shrikhand, and they were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The service was excellent, and Manoj, our server, was courteous, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a delightful experience — I’d definitely recommend Swaraj for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!

We had a wonderful experience dining at Swaraj Restaurant at San Ramon! The food was truly authentic with rich flavors that reminded us of traditional Maharashtra home cooking. Mohan and Ganesh provided excellent service. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back soon to enjoy more of their delicious dishes!

We are vegetarians and we had the sabudana vada for appetizer, misal pav for entree and basundi for dessert. All of them were flavourful. The basundi was not to my liking as it was more like kheer instead of having milk solids. The drinks we had Sol Kadhi and Piyush were amazing.
Talking to the Chef, we found out that the Maharashtrian cuisine this restaurant boasts comes from 4 different regions of Maharashtra and the team has put together favorite items from these regions. It was very refreshing to know about the cuisine as well as the efforts put in to bring them out to people here.
One odd thing was the two robots that were bringing the food to our table and a server served it to us. This was not in tune with the decor and also the waiters were avoiding and going around the robots. It seems like the robots help them a lot but I wasn't thrilled.
There are so many more items to try here and I highly recommend this place.
