It is Nepali Indian restaurant. I ordered veg momos, chicken momos, veg chow main and chicken biriyani. Veg and chicken momos filled with generous amount of filling. It was delicious. Veg chowmein is given good proportion and sufficient to share with family. Chicken biriyani is good, excepting more taste. Staff is very friendly and they are serving with smile. They are offering free tea, don’t miss that. It is perfect chai.

It’s a cute little place just opened up. The food. Quality is good. We had the vegetable biryani one of the best I’ve ever had since I’m pretty much a pescatarian. This is right up my alley ,fish pakora ,garlic naan, and a couple of beers it was good solid foodVegetarian options: We had the vegetable biryani, which was seasoned perfectly, and had a nice vegetable to rice ratio.

It was awesome! Especially the Thakali Veg Thali felt like home made food.My family also love the special Nepalese specials on the menu. Thanks for the friendly and timely service and accommodating last minute requests!
Service was great but I was not at all ill impressed with the quality of the food. Although the Samosas were decent, the shell was a bit thick and tough. The Butter Chicken and Buranyi Lamb did not have an authentic flavor. Was it ketchup I tasted? Not sure....but not great. The chicken chowmein was also super disappointing. Even the Naan was a bit tough...it just tasted old and flavorless. The fried chicken Nepalese dumplings tossed in a spicy garlic sauce had a thick, clumsy skin, and were greasy and sticking together. Almost inedible. Geez! For nearly $70 I would not go back.

Chicken tikka masala is the best , so soft and testy.
The Gurkha Kitchen is a new addition to the list of Indian restaurants in the trivalley area. I went there with my family and kids and ordered Veg momos, Veg Chowmein, Chili Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Paneer Shimla Mirch. I would rate the food 3 on 5 for the following reasons.1. Chili Paneer was extremely spicy. Please avoid it if u can't take the heat. Our tongue was almost on fire.2. Paneer Shimla mirch was Paneer Tikka Masala with Capsicum added to it. Nevertheless, the taste was good.3. Chowmein was decent that kids could eat with good portion size.4. Garlic Naan was indeed very good, soft and thin.5. Momos was pretty tasty, too. They have free chai for chai lovers. With respect to the ambiance , it almost feels like a fast food restaurant the moment u enter. They have a lot of take out orders and hence it took some time for them to deliver our food. However, the staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. My review is based on vegetarian options.

What is better than a momo, it is the sauce that goes with it. I am usually disappointed with the sauce even if the momos are perfect. This place has the best sauce to accompany the momos and they are bomb!We also had Thali with Nepalese flavors, the black eyed peas with bamboo shoots was very different and flavorful with spinach and other side dishes. The service was very welcoming and they made sure we were happy with the food. Super friendly and happy people. Also for dinner the food wasn't expansive. Very reasonable.
Most items were good, great service.
