My wife and I wanted some steaks but a bit lazy to make reservations and go to San Francisco. I just Googled this place and I was a bit hesitant due to mixed reviews that goes a bit extremeto really bad or really good, but we tried it anyway and I am glad we did.It is for a post Valentine’s dinner to avoid the crowds so went on a Friday night. I made a reservation but when we arrived it was not busy. It did pick up a bit later. Off the bat, I am not comparing this with the top steak places in San Francisco that we have tried. The service was great! Our server welcomed us and recommended the calamari for appetizer which we got. It was cooked right and it was delicious! I also tried the clam chowder which I will mot recommend. I liked a more creamy chowder and with lots of clams. Theirs is not that. We wanted the Tomahawk steak for two but they were out of stock because of Valentine’s day. So we went for the 16oz bone-in rib eye each. I ordered a Medium and it was cooked right. The steak was also delicious! To me, a good steak is simple and tasty and this was it. My wife also ordered it Medium but she is a bit more specific. What she really wants is the point in between Medium and Medium-well and they did cook it as she specified! Perhaps why it took her order longer. The owner himself came out to inform us and apologize for the slight delay of her order. On top of that, our server consistently checked on us and updated us on the status of the order. The meat itself was not the same quality as the premier steak houses but it was decent. My wifeordered a glass of a house red wine and it was good! We already had a couple of cocktail drinks that is why she only wanted a glass of wine, otherwise we would have gotten a bottle. I believe a bottle was only $45.00.Overall it was a great experience! Good steak, not far from us, great service, and reasonable price!

The staff was very friendly, but the food was not all that great. The lobster tail we got was dry and stuck onto the tail itself so it came apart when we tried to get any. It was also bland. The best part of the meal was the mashed potatoes and the sauteed kale or spinach idk that came as side dishes to the lobster tail, and the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are a 5/5 tbh. We also got the shrimp alfredo pasta which literally had 4 shrimp and it was also flavorless. I don't use a lot of salt when I cook, so for me to say something was bland is rare, especially eating out. Things are usually on the salty side for me. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend going either.

Service was okay. Food was so-so. Came here for their steak but it was disappointing. My brother and I ordered Medium Rare steaks. His came more well done while mine was almost rare, a small part of it looked raw. Most of the items we got, mash potatoes, artichoke dip, and spinach, were too salty. No one checked if our food was alright. Their cocktails were the highlight. Really well made and well blended. Just disappointed because I took my family here for dinner after not seeing them in a while.

I'm not sure how this restaurant is surviving. This is the second time we have been here and there is no one inside. There were only 2 tables and at one point, we were the only ones there. Our meal was good. One salmon, two steaks and one scallops. The mashed potatoes were good, could have been warmer. Crab and artichoke dip was also very good. The previous time we were there we also had a good meal. It's a bit pricey, but any steak house is going to run you $50-$60 a steak. Probably would go back again if we wanted someplace quiet....

This was a very disappointing meal. I ordered the steak, lobster and shrimp. For appetizers we had calamari and lobster bisque. The calamari is basically over fried breading and the soup was very bland. The lobster was beyond overcooked along with the shrimp. The steak was nothing special and had a very weird taste. My husband had a salad that was also lacking flavor. This place was expensive and the food horrible. Very few people were in the restaurant on a Saturday night that should of told us to go elsewhere.

Steak was over cooked and not tender the spinach was a pile of mush never serve spinach in a supposed high end restaurant. The only thing that was great was the service the server though young had serving down patent. Conclusion is ...not worth the money

Went for dinner with family for 10 yr olds birthday; big night out. Beyond disappointed. Only 2 other tables seated so expected good service. Not the case! We had to ask twice to place a drink order. After 30 min we still did not have all the drinks. 3 Salads were brought out, and 20 min later the other three were brought out. artichoke dip had horrible aftertaste and calamari was burned but still slimy in the inside. Lobster and fish were grey! Completely inedible! Only part that was not messed up was the steak. One of the worst dining experiences!

First, I don't like being penalized a fee for cancelling less than 48 hours of reservation. But since we were trying this restaurant out for the 1st time I went ahead with the reservation. Our party of 4 arrived and became concerned when we walked in at 6PM that we were the only guests in the restaurant. Out party consisted of 2 friends, my wife and myself. We were annoyed that our waiter kept referring to our party as "family" - "hi family, are you ready to order?" We didn't quite know how to let him know to stop calling us as family so we just kept our comments to ourselves. Secondly, when the maitre'd brought out the bottle of red wine, the bottle was very warm to the touch but poured it anyways and then ask our party if we'd like the bottle be corked or uncorked to let the bottle breathe - we've never been to a restaurant that ask if we'd like the bottle recorked! Leave it uncorked to let the red wine breathe please! The Tomahawk was cooked great but my friend's rib eye was undercooked. We decided to have dessert some where else. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

Went out with my boyfriend to have a great steak knew we were running late and we wanted to make it in time before they closed for their dinner hour as we walked in we asked for a warm seating and they said that would be fine so they brought us over to the side where the tables were all chipped up and it would look like it was a bar style and we asked them where they serving dinner and they said no, I was put off by the fact that as we entered the front entrance neither one of them stood up to greet us and asked us if we were there for dinner which was a waste of time because by the time we got over to the side of the table which was completely chipped up that looked like a place where people ate chips and drink beer we knew that we were not having dinner there we turned around and we walked out it was one of the poorest experiences of a place that I was excited about visiting for the first time let it be known!

Our server and the bartender were pleasant to interact with, shout-out to them. There were many issues with the food, unfortunately. The clam chowder was incredibly runny; seems like it never had a chance to thicken. The same goes for the creamed spinach. The 8 oz. filet was inadequately seasoned and dry. The bread was dry and crumbly, despite an attempt to salvage it by pouring some butter on top. There's no reason a restaurant that bills itself as a fine-dining steakhouse should miss the mark on steak, let alone several other dishes. At this price point, it's not unreasonable to expect consistency and finesse. We were one of two tables seated on a Saturday night in an unusually warm dining room. We should have recognized that as a red flag the moment we walked in.

We were the only ones in the restaurant for a 6 PM reservation on a Saturday night. The bread was stale. No air conditioning. The spinach had too much garlic in it and very oily. Steak was OK. Cooked right. Portions were very small. Food was very expensive.

The restaurant food was excellent. We had steak & lobster and sauteed mushrooms which were all great. Only a few issues... NO Air Conditioning - it was so hot in the restaurant! The waiter said it was on - but obviously it's not working as it should if it was. I hope this place makes it.
