Asada Nachos take out. Generous portions. Great steak. Guacamole and sour cream on the side. The momma Avila's chicken 🐔 Soup is to die for . I let some dried black cobra peppers deep in the soup for a while. And the rojo sauce is some of the best red sauce you can find. Albondigas soup on a rainy November day was delicious. We have takeout from Avila's every Saturday now because we love it so much. 5 stars which I rarely give on restaurants.

Avila's is one of my wife and my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service and food are always impeccable. We have never been disappointed and we have been coming here for many years.

Advertises mariachi music. They never have it.
A great family feeling Mexican Restaurant. A bit on the pricey side but the food was great and I'd be happy to return!

The food here is consistently good as is the service. My husband did find the tomatillo sauce on his enchiladas to be a little raw on this particular visit, like the can hadn't been cooked out of the tomatoes, but my mahi mahi bowl was wonderful. Overall Avila El ranchito is consistently better than most of our sit-down family style Mexican restaurants around.

I pass this place everyday. My son wanted some authentic Mexican food and this place was on point. I got chicken nachos and he got enchiladas. Nothing fancy, tucked away but it was delicious. The staff was super friendly.

Im not sure if we went on a bad day but the service was not good , it seem understaffed and the waiters did not communicate because they got our ordes wrong . Then there was NO employee anywhere around for at least 20 mins . We waited to ask for the check for almost 25 mins. Untill we found this young waiters and we asked for our bill .

I went here last week and it made a good impression on me. I got the tender chicken enchiladas and steak fajitas. Portions are pretty generous with reasonable prices. The salsa here will keep me coming back for more!

The Santa Ana location has a bad ass bar area. Dimly lit and quiet... Bud Light (to keep my slender figure) and a big bowl of frijoles de la olla with 4 raw Serranos. That's heaven..
