Get the corned beef (Ruben), avoid the pastrami. Really seems under cooked and lost too much moisture

I was really looking forward to trying this local NY-style deli, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. For two sandwiches and one soup, the total was pretty pricey.
The roast beef sandwich was especially disappointing — it was so dry, and overall the food just felt average and nothing special.
Sadly, this was my first and last visit.

Been a long-time Benjies customer. Moved out of the area, but every trip, there's at least 1 visit to Benjies. BEST matzoh ball soup ever! Excellent lox and bagel. Husband's go to: matzoh brie with capers and onions. All food is fresh made, tasty. Haven't found anything we didn't like. Definitely recommend.

This place is awesome!! I love the retro atmosphere - it's old school but well-maintained and clean. I got the Benjie's Special: pastrami, cole slaw, and Russian dressing on rye. The meat was incredible, smoky, and stacked to the sky. Everything else about the sandwich was perfectly constructed and elevated the pastrami. The service was friendly, fast, and welcoming.

Ok look. I've been going to Benjies since summer of 1967 when it opened. Its been fantastic, its been OK, its been meh. Right now its fantastic. Really at its best. But if you go and its not up to scratch, you know it will be top next time.

I’ve driven by here many times and wondered what it was like. I finally had the chance to stop. It was fantastic. Great, kind service and corned beef piled so high I almost dislocated my jaw. 😁 I’ll be back! (I’m puzzled by some of the negative reviews.)

I had the pleasure of visiting Benjie’s tonight for the very first time and it’s everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. Such a warm, cozy restaurant. It feels like a big hug when you walk in! Service was phenomenal. We weren’t sure which meat or side we wanted with a particular dish—we were given such thorough and gracious help picking! Everything was piping hot, fresh, and delicious with VERY generous serving sizes. I’ve been craving matzo ball soup like this for almost 14 years. Absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

The pastrami sandwich at Benjie’s was so tender and tasty better than the one I had at Langer’s. Langer’s was great too but they were more expensive and only gave me half the pastrami that Benjie’s did.
