The food is so good! The Raza box is enough for two people. The taco shells are so crispy and fillings are delicious.

Rude cook, aggressively asked me for a tip when I was taking it to go. Wouldn't want to support this business regardless of how the food taste tbh

We arrived before a crowd did and ordered La Raza for $25 + tip. First thoughts, the pictures make the food look bigger, but it was extremely filling for two people. It came with 8 tacos, and half, possibly even a smaller version of the pizza. The small consommé was perfect for two and we drank the rest of it like a soup. It comes with radishes and limes as well. I tried the salsa and it was SO spicy. it burned. Definitely try this truck if you're in the area.

Cash/venmo onlyBirrieria La Raza is a food truck in Irvine at the cross section of Jamboree and Barranca and across from the In-N-Out. I got the raza box ($25) which consisted of 8 birria tacos, a quesadilla, and a consommé. The tacos were good and the quesadilla was basically like a larger version of a taco mixed with the meat and cheese. The consommé was flavorful and overall I thought the box was a good value considering one taco is $2.75 each. The birria pizza looks like one of their most popular items and sounds intriguing so I'll have to come back to try it sometime.

I recently visited this birria truck to try their tacos for the second time, and unfortunately, it was the same disappointing experience. I ordered 7 tacos, and to my surprise, I received only 2 half-filled salsas with my order. When I politely asked for more salsa, they hesitated and didn't want to provide additional portions. What made the experience even worse was when I finished paying, the cashier had the audacity to ask for a tip. It's disheartening to be treated this way, especially when the service doesn't meet expectations. This was my second visit, and regrettably, it will be my last.In my previous experiences with taco trucks, I've encountered humble and welcoming staff who truly represent the Mexican hospitality. This place, on the other hand, seems to have a hostile atmosphere, which is unfortunate and doesn't align with the typical warm and friendly demeanor of taco vendors. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

I dream about the birria pizza sometimes. It's so good and definitely filling! I would highly recommend coming here if you're in Irvine and want a nice lil food truck experience

This has to be the best birria pizza I've tried. Oddly enough, I've had my fair share of birria in pizza and it's a great combo albeit being more of a quesadilla than pizza. The birria had definitely been stewing in the pot for a long time because it soaked up all that good flavor and blended well with the cheese. I think the extra layer of tortilla is what they have going for them because it allows for more toppings without being too droopy. They also crisp it up nicely on the grill so it has all the textures you want in one bite. They're also known for their quesabirria tacos so we got some with consommé. You definitely can't take this one to go so you have to enjoy it on the spot and it might get messy. The people running the truck are super kind and they know how to make good birria. I went during lunch so there weren't that many people and the food came out quickly.

I have to say, I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at this taco place. My coworkers and I have been loyal customers, but it seems like everything has gone downhill lately. I am not sure if there's a new ownership recently but I am not seeing the same employees. It's safe to say we won't be coming back anytime soon.First of all, we always looked forward to Taco Tuesdays, a tradition we've cherished since they started offering it. But today, when we placed our usual order for eight tacos, we were shocked to find out that the price for those eight tacos was equivalent to their combo (Raza Box) that included eight tacos and a large Birria quesadilla. The worst part was that the guy at the cashier knew this but deliberately withheld the information from us. It felt like he was purposefully trying to deceive us into paying more for less food.Upon bringing the price difference to the owner's (not sure if he is the owner) attention, his careless and unprofessional response was nothing short of shocking. All he managed to say was, "oh shit," as if he had been caught red-handed, and then he swiftly retreated to hide in the back of the truck, avoiding any further interaction with us.Now, let's talk about the service - it was beyond rude. The cashier had an arrogant attitude as if we were bothering him by ordering our food. Not a single smile or word of welcome. It's as if he didn't value our patronage at all, despite the fact that we had been coming here regularly. The lack of transparency about the removal of Taco Tuesdays pricing, the intentional omission of the cost-effective combo option, coupled with the cashier's indifferent and rude behavior, has left us feeling deceived and undervalued as customers.

Food here is DELICIOUS!!However, customer service was terrible. I asked the girl working in the register how big were the tacos and she said "normal size", which was okay. Then I asked if the quesadillas were big or small and she said "They're regular size i don't know how else to tell you how they are" all with attitude. So I proceeded to order 5 tacos, 2 quesadillas, 1 Large consomé and 2 jamaicas. They gave me 6 tacos and 2 LARGE quesadillas. Keep in mind this is food for 2 (considering the girl said it was a "normal" quesadilla). The man accidentally gave me one horchata and jamaica, I nicely told him it was two jamaica's. He stared at me and rolled his eyes as he reached for another jamaica. Very upset with todays interaction as there food is delicious. Here's a picture for reference for the quesadilla, this is a regular size disposable plate.

I'm really glad to have found this place. It is hard to find really good tacos in the Irvine area. This place specializes in birria tacos. I typically order the birria pizza because it is large and can feed 3-4 people. This place is a solid place for birria tacos. Because of the nature of taco trucks, there can be changes in time. I did come to the plaza when the truck was closed. They have an instagram which they update their times there. I would suggest checking it out to fully confirm the time.

My partner and I were very excited to try Birrieria La Raza in Irvine on Barranca! We came on a Saturday at 4pm and there were still open (schedules may vary due to food running out etc). We were excited to try this local business, especially because there is limited food trunks in Irvine. This place immediately caught our attention. This location only accepts cash, zelle or venmo so be on the look out for that! I personally thought that the menu was very affordable compared to other Birria places. We got tacos, Mexican coke, and bottled horchata. My partner and I agreed that the food could use less spice and more seasoning/salt/flavor but it was overall good. The service was great and we receive our food pretty quickly. We will be coming back to try other items on the menu. I would recommend!

Don't let this food truck's location fool you, it is a gem situated in a corporate parking lot. If you like birria de res (beef birria), you have to give this food truck a try. We when have the beef birria bug, we stop by here. What really kicks up the tastiness of their food is the consommé that they include. Dip each bite into the consommé and you won't regret it. This time we got the Raza Box-8 which had tacos and a quesadilla. The tacos and quesadilla had plenty of beef and were crunchy. Paired with the consommé, it was all very delicious. There was definitely enough food in the box for two people. We also had to try the ramen since how can you go wrong with with beef and instant noodles. The best part was that they didn't use the Tapitio flavoring, but instead used their consommé. It had plenty of flavor especially paired with onions and cilantro.Lastly we tried the hot Cheetos Quesadilla. I think it was definitely more of a novelty than anything, but it was tasty none the less.

I wasn't sure about the location of this food truck but glad we did stop by. I do want to go back and try their Birria pizza which looked amazing. We opted for a mulita since my nephew has been on a kick and they only have birria meat, hence the name of the truck. ;) They were very friendly and we ordered 1 to try. My nephew enjoyed it and thought it was really good so I ordered another 1 for him plain and I got 1 as ordered. He give it a 4/5. The meat was very tender and juicy. Grilled a little crunchy which was great! Definitely recommend if you see them! SYOY!

Got the la Raza box for $20. Pretty good deal for 8 Birria tacos and 1 quesadilla. The meat was very tender and they give a lot of cheese. Box comes with limes and one small consommé. The consommé was alright, Lowkey just tasted like light beef broth nothing special.I think for $20 and the amount of food you get is pretty worth it. Good enough for 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. You just eat outside the taco truck so it's definitely not the nicest experience but it's cheap,

Food truck day on a sunny day!I had the original plate:1. Birria pizza Fun to get on a food truck to see how your food is made. This pizza is so yummy! I need to have it now. Really nice service and there's also a table in front of the food truck in case you want to eat it here.
