Black Angus is has been our GOTO wedding anniversary location for an amazing dinner, great service and a little touch of family, all thrown into one.

I’ve been going to Black Angus my entire life. I even worked at a location while I was in college. This was my first time at this particular location, though. And it will be my last. If you’re going to call yourself a steak house, especially one that’s very well known and been in the industry for generations, then you should probably know how to cook steak. This was the worst prime rib I’ve ever TRIED to eat. I seriously could not believe it. My first bite I thought, I think there’s something wrong with this meat. Since I couldn’t tell for sure, I took a second bite and determined it just had that raw meat taste. And it probably tasted like raw meat, because it was raw meat. I asked for medium. Somebody else’s in our party was also undercooked, but not as bad as mine. Instead of sending it back, I ate everything else on my plate and just brought the steak home. I cooked it to the proper doneness, but just thinking about it was making my stomach turn, so I took a few bites and finally just threw it in the trash where it belongs.

We madea reservation through Opem Table and were seated after very short wait. We were promptly greeted by our server and had our drinks quickly delivered after our orders were taken. The entrees were perfectly cooked to order and portion size was very good. The server regularly checked into us to see how things were going, which made for a pleasant experience.

Go here a couple of times a year for dinner. This time, on a Tuesday evening in October, from 6:30 to 8:00, the entire place was tranquil, with maybe 30% capacity. Almost weird, as the usual sounds were so muted. Not sure why it was so empty, but the staff's attention was spot on. Very considerate, helpful, and genuine.

We had reservations and were placed in the bar area seating. Why make reservations if this where they end up seating you? It is a run down restaurant. The steak was not great quality, really lacking flavor. I use to come here years ago it was good then, but not any longer.

Ordered food from this eatablishment and…very average (below average if being honest) overcooked, dry burger and nothing much else…if you’re reading this skip this place.

Food was good, staff was good, we were seated right away. I had made a reservation and noted that it was our 35th anniversary. The host and waitress both wished us a happy anniversary, very nice. We were a little surprised we weren't offered a dessert to split, or some kind of recognition. I don't recall ever going to a restaurant for a birthday or anniversary where some item wasn't offered as a congratulations. But overall, it was a good meal.

We wanted a special dinner today, so tried this place. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes for our server to come over. He was pleasant, but hurried. Brought our drinks, bread and salads. Someone else brought our food. The server didn't ask how things were or offer drink refills until we were pretty well finished. Very disappointing, considering the bill was 76.00 for abysmal service. I grudgingly left the minimum tip. My chicken was overcooked and our salads both had the heels of the lettuce in them. We are from NY and this was the worst meal/service in a 2 week vacation.
