I ordered for office & everyone enjoyed! Coworkers wanted to know location. I knew from past, it's worth it here, so tasty. All these years consistent flavoring. Thank you!

Just brought a meal at this place and got home to enjoy it. The food was horrible. COLD ORANGE CHICKEN. But I was there and saw them bring a fresh pan out. The meat was tough and hard. Can you say hard rubber. Had to chew it a thousand times. My teeth hurt from chewng so much to get my food down. The chow-main noodles were cold too. What, did the steamer break down? Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.
They one person serving the counter. As she was taking counter orders, she would stop and would get a phone order pick up. That was the low blow. People standing in line and some joker comes in for a quick CUT IN LINE WHY DON'T YOU. The process was slow. This ordering on-line thing is getting out of hand. It's just another way for people to be lazy.
The prices may have going up but the service and food is taking a noise dive. It will be a long time before I order food there again, like years.
I posted a picture of the meal I didn't finish. If you think it looks good, you're right. It just looks good.

Delicious food and huge portions. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, before it moved. I live and Palm Springs and it’s worth the drive.

I was sadly disappointed with the food here. After reading some of their reviews, I was expecting the food to be fantastic but it was underwhelming to say the least. The rice was dry, the spring rolls soggy inside, and the chicken a bit dry. The only descent item was the chowmein. The service was great. The atmosphere a bit dingy but I’m one of those people that believe most “hole in the wall” spots have the best food so that didn’t bother me. I work nearby and often eat out for lunch so I was hoping this would be a new favorite but I’ll definitely not be eating here again.

I just saw one of the ladies who serve food eat with her hands. Shove food into her mouth, lick her fingers and go back to serving food without washing her hands or wearing gloves. My boyfriend just ran into the bathroom to ? throw up ?!Plus, we got an attitude when we ordered the lunch special.#unsafe #healthdepartment #help

Quality quick service Chinese food is a dime a dozen, but none come as close to sit-down quality food as Chinatown Express does!Fresh, huge potions, and such great service, there’s not much more to say! You can taste the tang in the orange chicken. You can bite into the broccoli or carrots from the veggies and actually feel a crunch instead of mush. The beef in the broccoli beef was cooked well and had amazing flavor! The teriyaki chicken was grilled so it had amazing char! Drinks are priced quite well too! In all it’s a downright hole-in-the-wall worth going to and worth supporting!
