This is the best Iranian restaurant in entire USA. I have visited almost all of them, Darya beats all.

Abysmal fesenjoon outright, my dad ordered it and it had spices in it instead of walnut. It tasted very spicy and unlike fesenjoon at all.
My chicken barg was too burnt and too colorful and looked very fake like it was made in a 3d printer, I just ate it without appetite.
Terrible service as well, no service. Everyone acted snobby and tremendously worse than Darya Santa Monica/Tustin and Panini Kabob Grill.
Never come again and you can’t convince me to come back. I personally am done. Trash

I took my family and a guest to the restaurant and was disappointed. I could have easily gone to any other high end restaurants in Costa Mesa but chose Darya for Persian food. My dish of Adas polo and boiled chicken tasted stale. Like a food that is reheated in microwave. It tasted weird. I did not have much of my food despite going there starving and the server’s comment was that I was not hungry. Did not even ask if there was something wrong with the food. Obviously, I did not even care to box the food and take it home, when I could not eat it in the first place. Truly disappointed this time, since a couple of years ago, it was pretty good when we celebrated a special occasion there. Not anymore.

Their food was not good at all. We ordered 4 food which was very disappointing. ash reshteh which full of salt and looked reheated. Adass polo with chicken was staled , reheated and smelled funky , koobideh was full of salt . I ordered naderi, was so hungry and had to eat it but smelled not fresh. Other than me the rest of us could not finish our food to the point our server said you were the only hungry one!!! Did not ask whether there was any issues with the food.
The server also need training to act as a genuine server .

We invited our friends who wanted to try Persian food and they loved it! Shout out to our sweet server Sohaila who after noticing that the tip was calculated on the bill and we left more and she chased us to see if we have made a mistake abd we all thought it was such a honest gesture and said well-deserved and happy new year! We'll definitely come back again and bring our guests. Thank you!
Ladies at the table next to us were super loud. One was even doing a video chat with her phone on speaker!
Love their food, services and ambience. They are friendly and food is consistently good so, I bring my friends and family there for occasions.
Over the past few years, we have consistently experienced high-quality food and very friendly service here. The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious, making it a great place to enjoy a family meal. The quality of the food—especially the kabobs—and the presentation are always enjoyable and well aligned with traditional Persian cuisine.

Our whole dinner experience was flawless from the food to the service to the atmosphere. The staff are very warm and allow you time to chat before ordering. We did not feel rushed like you often do at restaurants. The portions are generous - we all had leftovers to take home. My husband ordered the steak shish kabab and it was filet mignon, he was extremely happy! I am a pescatarian and there are plenty of options for me with the fish selection. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Of course, Persian rice is delicious. Darya has reasonable prices for the quality of the food and the professional service. Also, there is free, convenient parking, a rarity at nice restaurants. We can't wait to go back again!

We loved our lunch at Darya! The restaurant is so beautiful and the food and service were exceptional. However! We were not offered the lunch menu at lunch and paid a fortune. Very disappointed that the server did not offer or mention it. The lunch menu looks extensive and a great value. If you're there at lunch, be sure to ask for it!
Good food. The Barg and chicken kabab in particular were delicious. The environment was nice but the staff had a bit (a bit more) of attitude.

The beef kabob was super juicy and tasty. The crème brule was amazing and perfect sweetness.

Love dining at Darya! Some of the best Persian food in all of Southern California. We come here every time we are in OC, and have even come down just to have lunch here. Great service too!
