Manager was on his phone during his break but the volume was too high and was distracting and didn’t let us enjoy our meal. He also wouldn’t take our order after seeing that the one cashier was busy with drive thru orders. They are understaffed.

This was my very first time ever trying Del Taco — and wow, I was blown away. I’m from Northern California where we don’t really have Del Taco, so I didn’t know what to expect. Honestly, I thought it would be just another fast food taco spot. But it’s not.
The food was absolutely delicious — way better than I imagined. The tacos tasted fresh, flavorful, and honestly felt like something from a real Mexican restaurant, not just a drive-thru chain. Everything was hot, cheesy, and perfectly made.
I fell in love with Del Taco from the first bite. This is easily a 5/5 experience for me — one of the best fast food meals I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Southern California.

I want to take the time to commend your #130 location on Tustin Ave & Santa Clara Ave in Santa Ana. The manager Jonathan does an outstanding job of greeting his customers in a friendly manner and is very thorough with processing orders. I go to that location just about every morning M - F and get the opportunity to interact with Jonathan on a regular basis. He's incredibly personable & professional. I believe he goes above & beyond to make sure his customers are satisfied with their food orders. For me personally, he's served me freshly brewed coffee which is an added bonus because I really like the coffee offered at Del Taco. I've also observed Jonathan making sure his store is clean & tidy not only indoors, but out in the parking lot as well. He daily goes out there to sweep up trash and several cigarette butts left by customers. I'm one of the smokers out there, but have assured him that I do pick up my cigarette butts and throw them in the trash. He's very appreciative of that fact and has expressed his gratitude to me. Finally, the variety of menu choices is fantastic! Next time, I'd like to try your new slow -cooked carnitas burrito! In closing, I believe this particular location's productivity & high rating is attributed to Jonathan's own high standards for his store. I've observed how he treats his employees with kindness & respect. That element of mutual respect & courtesy is vital for any restaurant to thrive! If Jonathan is up for a raise or promotion, he certainly deserves it! Give it to him, please. I was happy to provide my positive feedback. As a retired English teacher, I'm prone to write reviews when I feel it's merited and in this case, it is certainly well-deserved! Kuddos to the entire staff at your #130 Santa Ana location! They're all wonderful! 👍👍👏👏

Worst chocolate so called shakes ever ! Chocolate water yes !! Shakes hell no !! $10.68 for two lrg cups of chocolate water !! We will never be back ever !! What a rip off of ten dollars.!! Sad just sad !!
This place went through an upgrade, unfortunately the staff and food is garbage ordered chili cheese fries old cold and the chicken burrito had no chicken just lettuce, I used to love coming here the old guy is not their that guy with all the tattoos cooking food no cloves nasty,

Unfortunately, this location is subpar. If you absolutely want Del Taco, the location on 4th and Tustin is much better. Even further south at the 55 and Dyer is better... So this last time, I got 4 chicken soft tacos and there was quite literally a pinch of chicken in each one. I have frequented this location many times, and more times than not, there is a problem with the food. 😔
