El Pollo Norteño Santa Ana East 1st

The customer service was not up to standards for their pricing. For a $3 dollar plus taco I was expecting more meat. The employees are not as welcoming.

Service was poor at El Pollo Norteno Santa Ana a manager with a flower in her hair on 2/11/25 at 4:00 pm. She made a fuss about my service animal which I have for a medical condition forced me outside until I produced the paperwork, when there was nobody in the store. Then after I produced the paperwork, I ordered refried beans with my order, then when I received the order it was regular beans and instead of switching them out I had to pay for additional beans , because I opened the top. That was after the hard time for the service animal paperwork which I produced. Seems kinda petty but the vibe was not pleasant especially when I was bringing a new customer there to show them the food. The food was good though the switch up on the new chicken was noticeable in size, being it was smaller. El Pollo Norteno in Santa Ana wasn’t always like that so I’m not sure what’s going on with the buisness, but either way my experience today was super weak.

Before I retired, I had lunch there twice a month. We get the family meal when pressed for time on the weekend. I ask my wife to have them cater my retirement party. Everyone enjoyed the food

The food was warm,not hot and I had an incident with another customer by not letting me use the keys for the restroom and the employees laughing about it,food and service it's not as it used to be back in 2010

Very good excellent food but I think Sanora is called Ma Irma who works serving customers very bad service she should have a good manner ? points for the northern chicken which is in front of the DMV excellent service.

The food is great! I wish the chicken was a little more hot. Just my preference.
The area is bad. Drugged up homeless everywhere. I would recommend take out and make it quick order ahead.

Sadly didn't get to eat as they didn't accept my card from lack of the chip I had a swipe only an I had tried ordering online before going an had problems with the website so take cash or a card with chip.
