Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Yum Yum Yum. This is some quality fried chicken. The meat was SO JUICY and tender. I could tell the chicken was fresh because of how hot it was. It felt like it just came out of the frier. We had the 30 piece with a medium side of coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw wasnt anything special but it was decent enough to enjoy with the fried chicken. There was ONE piece of chicken that was super dry and almost unedible but other than that one piece this place was very good.

OH MY GOSH DELICIOUS FRIED CHICKEN ! Has a little kick to it but not overpowering, skin on chicken is crispy and SO GOOD. Chicken is made to order not sitting under a heat lamp and is served piping hot .. Krystal, our waitress, was great in helping us decide what to order, she is fantastic . . Gus Fry Chicken serves up some of the best fried chicken I ever had grub. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. You can really taste the paprika in the batter, which adds a nice kick without overpowering the chicken. The store is spotless, and even the restroom was impressively clean. We dined in, and the service was fast and friendly. Only downside was that parking was a bit tough to find, but it was well worth it. If you love great fried chicken, Gus delivers big time.

Hands down, this is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The crust is perfectly crispy without being overly breaded, and the seasoning hits that sweet spot—flavorful, with just the right kick. Every bite delivers that golden balance between juicy meat and crunchy coating.

My server Michael made my experience worth the drive. Amazing service and very informative on the menu. Gave me some recommendations and got the potato salad and whoever made that put some serious love into it. Don’t think I’ll be going to another spicy fried chicken spot any time soon.

Parking: No parking at all 😭, there's a CVS store across the street and it has space available but I don't want to get towed, unsure if you can get in trouble for using a space.

Delicious fried chicken, crunchy batter with chicken so tender and juicy. Has just enough spice to give it a punch of heat without being overpowering. Coleslaw was great, chopped up cabbage in a nice creamy dressing and the beans were super flavorful with pork bits and maybe some bell pepper? Love the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Had the chicken breast and wing lunch that came with the slaw and beans. Other options were greens which were collard greens. We got this to take home and they were great too. Chopped up collards with pork had good flavor. Next time will try a slice of their homemade pie.

Chicken is alright but fries are flavorless and wack. Popeyes is cheaper and better flavored. This place is too expensive for their food quality.

Called 20 minutes ahead to place ny order. Arrived just about 15-20 minutes later. And ended up waiting another 30 minutes. There's no point in having a call service if you're still going to wait that long? Or would I actually have had to wait almost an hour if i ordered in person? People who came after me and placed their take out order in person who had even larger orders also got their food first. Odd. Restaurant was so slow. Only 3 tables were occupied and all small parties. Workers need to pick up the pace. Everyone moves like a sloth. I can't imagine how slow the restaurant runs when there is a full house if there is ever any? Owner needs to make some changes and make the process of whatever they do more efficient. A full staff should not be this slow. There's literally as many people working as there were customers.
