The burger is one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The sides of the patty are extra crisp. I had the standard double burger. Better than Shake Shack, but the fries were unexpectedly larger. They are a shareable size so order one for the two or four of you.

Overall it's way overpriced for what you get. I had the classic hammer w/out onion & on the box it said no onion, but it came w/ a heaping amount. Though the meat hangs out in the pictures & looks big, the patties are extremely thin & after taking off the onion all I tasted was bun, even after ripping half of it off when the burger itself was already tiny. The fried chicken sandwich was absolutely flavorless. The fries tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. & the biggest disappointment was the fried pickles. I love fried pickles & though I appreciate that these are house pickled, after being breaded & fried there was barely any pickle flavor in my opinion. I didn't even feel the need to finish the "basket" which is the smallest basket I've ever seen. But hey the milkshakes were good (: Was it bad? No. Was it good? It's decently ok but definitely way overpriced for what you get. 2 stars for food & 1 extra star for the people working there. They're cool.

Burgers are smaller than anticipated but flavorful. Chili cheese fries lacked flavor. Hammer Fries were decent. Spicy fries were my preferred preference. Overall, I will most likely be back.
I love the smash burgers, but I love their tap list as well. The bar is almost too comfortable as I never wanna leave. Family friendly spot. Parking can be tough, but if you use the parking structure you're good. Five stars.

This is truly a smashed burger. So much great lace and crisp on the patties. Everything well balanced, great sauce and pickles. Hammer burger may be the next best thing to Easy Street burger, at least on this side of town, so much so that had to go have ES again the next day... And while it didn't beat em out it is one of my favorite burgers around the LA area

First timer. Came at friend’s recco. Overall, under-delivered. Nothing wrong with the smash burgers. Tasty enough (but we’ve had better). Burgers were in the “smaller” size (I could have split a 2nd one with somebody). Maybe they should take a page from McDonald’s and offer a “super size” burger. Sides are separate (‘regular’ size is good enough for individual). Beer selection was excellent (lots of local brews ? like @GreenCheek and @bottlelogicStaff were very friendly.
