I've eaten here in the past and always had a good experience. Today, tables were dirty, the place my order app didn't work,likely due to a check being open, and the server was rude. In a place where people have limited time to eat...not ok. On the other hand, staff at Starbucks was great!

$50 for two kid size beef wraps was ridiculous. Very small, tasted very “child’s cafeteria” like. Never again. We were scanning the table for the menu and ordering via smartphone. Why tip? Go to Ruby’s.

I’ve eaten here a few times. The food’s fine, the vibe’s fine, the service is friendly—but a little floaty. If I need to eat here again, that’s fine.
I had a sandwich and an iced tea, and with tip it came out to $30. Not terrible. Just… not quite worth it. The fruit wasn’t ripe either (and fruit in a California August should be stellar). Halfway through, I realized I would’ve rather walked to Carl’s Jr. and called Hobie simply a character-building detour.
Moses is meh about this Hobie. And so am I. It’s fine.

Hobie Restaurant at John Wayne Airport is a surprisingly awesome spot to grab a bite before your flight! I stopped by for their tacos, and wow—they did not disappoint. The fish tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with perfectly crispy fish, tangy slaw, and a creamy sauce that tied it all together. The carne asada tacos were equally delicious, with tender, well-seasoned steak and just the right amount of toppings. For airport food, this is next-level good. The vibe is laid-back and beachy, which makes waiting for your flight way more enjoyable. If you’re passing through John Wayne Airport, do yourself a favor and grab some tacos at Hobie. You won’t regret it!

Worst chicken quesadilla I have ever had. Onions were barely sautéed. I'm not sure there was even cheese. It was dry even with the pitifully salsa. Go to McDonald's down the way; as bad as fast food is, it will be better. My husband ordered a French dip, and it was pitiful.pitifully. Then, we watched the only waitress put her finger knuckle deep in her nose. We're beyond disgusted.
We ordered a beer and we were given the 20 oz instead of the 14 oz. And since glasses don't have ounces on them, we thought they were the regular size. In my experience of ordering beer when there is more than one size, the server always asks which size. When we questioned our server she said she always serves the larger size unless someone asks for the smaller. That is opposite of my experience.

The bartender was amazing but the food was disgusting. I ordered the roast beef wrap to take on the flight and it was small and flappy and unfulfilling. Grocery store wraps are way better. Would never eat here again!

I appreciated the ability to order and pay via QR code which allowed me to come and go as I was ready rather than needing to wait on anyone. My breakfast burrito was good with many drink options.
