Food came out quick. Kind staff. Good food. I agree that the broth for Bún Bò Huế wasn't rich, but it was refreshing, especially drenched in lime, it was very enjoyable. Pay at the counter when done.

Average. My family is extremely familiar with all of the dishes on the menu and each ordered something different. However, nothing seemed to impress us. The broth for everything was pretty basic and the portions were also kind of small.* Bánh Bèo Khay Huế: 6/10 - barely any batter so cakes were super thin* Mì Quảng: 8/10 - noodles were more like bún than mì but broth was good* Bún Bò Huế + Xương Bò: 7/10 - broth wasn’t rich* Bánh Canh Tôm Cua: 7/10 - couldn't taste the crab nor brothThe place itself was small, but somehow fits a decent amount of tables. Everything came out one-by-one at a reasonable time. The workers were really nice and gave us each tofu dessert. Their drinks are also large which we really appreciated.Stop by and try them for yourself!Parking: Parking is decent, but might be tough at peak times.

Smallish restaurant with a tight, focused menu specializing in Central Vietnamese cuisine . We tried almost all the dishes. The eponymous Bun Bo Hue was nice , not overly spicy like some can be. Banh beo tasty and chewy. Sugarcane drinks bomb!

I have been to many Bun Bo Hue restaurants in OC and I must say Hue Kitchen stands out on top for me. For those who look for a bowl of bun bo that resembles home cook then this place is worth a try. The bun bo here is not oily, the meats are flavorful, and the noodles have the perfect softness & bounce to them. I like that the broth isn't spicy and customers can adjust the spiciness on their own through the sate sauce on the table. It's no wonder I see so many families bring their small kids here to eat. Another thing I really like is they cut up the pork hock in slices which makes it so much easier to eat! I know it's traditional to have the pork hock in a big chunk but to me it's a hassle to eat. The service here is always nice. I've never had any problems with the staff.

I came here for the Bun Bo Hue. It's an average bowl with no flavor whatsoever because one c a t even smell the scent of Lemongrass. Lots of different meat substitutions for pork trotters which appears to make this dish inauthentic. It's hard to find a decent bowl of bun bo hue even in SoCal because a lot of chefs take the shortcut and cheaper route of making the soup and Hue Kitchen is no exception.

Very clean decor and tidy place. Appetizer pork in the banana leaf had a good texture and went well with the chili and the garlic. Got the Bun Bo Hue with the beef bone and it did not disappoint! Broth was well balanced with the added herbs and spicy satay sauce at the table. Service was pleasant and helpful. Good spot if you are looking for a hearty taste of Hue (central coast of Vietnam)! Much closer than flying there.

Very fast service, in and out in less than 30 minutes. Bun Bo Hue was the best one we’ve had yet in Garden Grove, and the Bun Cha Ca Da Nang (pumpkin, bamboo, fish cake) was a light broth that is perfect for helping me get over my sickness. Must visit, fair prices $15 BBH with meat on bone. They also give you free tofu dessert at the end!

Coming out of my yelp review hiatus just to leave a review for this place so you know how good it is. TBH, I was contemplating on not writing one bc I lowkey want to gatekeep this so I don't want have to wait for amazing viet food but my desire for them to succeed outweighed my selfishness so here we are I grew up eating really really good home made hue food bc my family is from hue so no restaurant has ever come close to my expectation but boy did this place surprise me. We got BBH/mi quang/banh canh and every single dish tasted like how it exactly supposed to taste like. Super flavorful without being salty. Even my mom agrees and she's a hard lady to impress. Anyway 10000% recommend if you're craving good hue food. Their free dessert is also ngon. Def will be back!

- After reading through all the reviews, I gave Hue Kitchen a try and loved it! This restaurant is now officially my favorite because of several reasons: 1: Bun bo hue has a clean taste, not filled with oil. I don't get thirsty after drinking the soup. Quality of meat is very fresh. Crab paste is delicious. 2. Banh beo chen here is the best I've had so far. I now understand why almost every table orders banh beo chen at this place. The banh beo flour & shredded shrimps were cooked just right. 3. Mi Quang was so delicious in my opinion. I was confused at first that the noodles weren't yellow but the server explained to me that the restaurant uses fresh noodle for their Mi Quang. They don't use food coloring or dry yellow noodles for this dish. After I tasted the Mi Quang, I could care less about the color of the noodles haha. The dish was delicious with the fresh noodles! The broth, pork, shrimp tasted very fresh & flavorful! 4. Service is awesome Workers are nice & friendly. I feel very welcome here. 5. Restaurant is clean, modern, and cozy. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommend this place f or anyone who loves Hue food!

The wife and I saw the grand opening sign from driving by and have been looking for a good bun Bo hue in Orange County since moving from San Diego. We finally found a place, it was clean and freshly decorated. Both of us ordered their special and some Vietnamese ham wrapped in banana leaves. These was good appetizers to start with. It was warm and crisp the way I like it. The main course was the bun Bo hue, definitely the best in OC and they didn't skip on the meats even giving a piece of pork belly instead of the usual pork feet. There soup base was tasty but not spicy but you can add to your taste with the sate which was on the table. My wife loved the taste of her soup. They didn't have the tofu dessert but gave us almond jello for free. The atmosphere was great and definitely going back to try mi quang next.

It's pretty good bún bò. I have tried a lot of places & end up not coming back. The broth is clear, not have fishy smell, however, it does have a smell that I don't know what it is, & the size is generous. I definitely recommend this place for bún bò. I could give this place 4 stars but I'm not a fan of mắm.

I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a Bún Bò Huế place to eat at on Tết. We ordered Bún Bò Huế and Bánh Bèo Bánh Bèo: Actually one of my favorite places to get Bánh Bèo now! Love how they have small shrimp pieces in the bánh bèo. Bún Bò Huế: The meat is the best part of the Bún Bò Huế. The one thing it's lacking is the spiciness in the broth, so if you do want it to be more spicy you would need to add chili into it. Besides that, I did enjoy it! I also loved how they provided a little dessert at the end! The service was great, all the workers were very sweet.

The services were great. The place was nicely remodeled! The food is great for the price they charge.
