Avoid this place unless you enjoy being humiliated and disrespected. A waiter refused to serve a respected guest, said to him “ I’m not comfortable to serve you!!!!!!!”, EXCUSE ME!
. The management did nothing and responded to the guest in an unfair and unhelpful way. Absolutely unacceptable (for Dr. Omar Najjar )

Breakfast sampler was a hearty meal. You get 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns and pancakes. Service here is very good.

Refusing to service a customer because of their own colour is not acceptable, that white staff should be fired immediately .

It was a very nice breakfast I got to share with a significant other but the atmosphere could have been better, I wasn't looking for anything outside a regular diner but the screaming children and the rudely loud patreons. The service was in spot though!

I was utterly shocked and disgusted by the way your staff treated the Saudi customer.
As loyal customers, my family and I used to have so much love for IHOP — it was part of our routine to stop at any branch we came across in Dubai. That love is now completely destroyed.

After this humiliating and racist experience, I would never set foot in any IHOP again — not even if it were the last restaurant on earth.
What I witnessed was not just rude — it was a clear violation of basic human decency. Your staff behaved with arrogance, prejudice, and complete disrespect.

I never imagined IHOP — a supposedly international and family-friendly brand — would tolerate such discrimination and inhuman behavior.
You’ve lost a loyal customers forever. And I will make sure others know how IHOP treats people like us.

I saw the video of the Saudi doctor, that was discrimination

Game Of binary

I am extremely disappointed by what happened to Dr. Omar at your restaurant. The server refused to serve him simply because of the color of his skin. This is the height of racism and has no place in a reputable brand like yours. Such behavior is unacceptable, offensive, and deeply disturbing.

I am writing to formally express my deep concern regarding a serious incident of racial discrimination that occurred at the IHOP branch located at 1001 E 17th St, Santa Ana, CA 92701. According to a verified report, a customer, Dr. Omar, was denied service solely based on the color of his skin. Such conduct is not only morally reprehensible but may also constitute a violation of both state and federal anti-discrimination laws.

Racial discrimination in any form is strictly prohibited under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title II), which guarantees all individuals the right to receive services in places of public accommodation without discrimination based on race, color, religion, or national origin.

This behavior reflects a serious breach of IHOP’s duty of care towards its patrons and undermines public trust in your brand. We strongly urge your corporate leadership to initiate an immediate and thorough investigation, hold the responsible employee(s) accountable, and issue a public statement reaffirming IHOP’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Failure to address such matters appropriately can expose your business to significant legal and reputational consequences. We trust that you will treat this issue with the gravity it deserves.

And we need to hear announcements about this employee

This establishment violated California Civil Rights Law.
Our friend, a Black guy, was blatantly denied service at this restaurant due to the color of his skin. Under California law—specifically the Unruh Civil Rights Act—this kind of racial discrimination is illegal and punishable.

We are in the process of filing a formal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, and we will not stop until this business is held fully accountable.
Expect legal consequences. The public deserves to know the truth: racism still exists here, and it must be exposed and prosecuted.

Very disappointing experience.
The service was poor, the food was below standard, and one of the staff members was openly racist. It was an uncomfortable and upsetting experience. I strongly advise others to be cautious before going there.

P.S. I reached out to customer service but received no support, which is why I felt the need to leave this review.

I'm not gonna be one of your customers at all. I feel bad when one of your employees is racist to Dr. Omar Najjar.

Shame on you.

Why do you hire racist employees ?
One of your rude staff members refused to serve a Saudi customer simply because he has dark skin!
Why such disgraceful behavior? We are all human beings regardless of our skin color or background.
Aren’t you ashamed that something like this happens in a place that’s supposed to be respectable?
This is truly shameful and unacceptable. 👎

A customer came in to order some coffee and waffles one of the staff that was working working that day refused to serve him and mentioned that

“ i wont serve u cuz i’m not feeling comfortable
serving u or taking your order”
After the customer left for 2 mins outside to reach out the manager and explain to him what happened the the same guy who refused to serve the customer reached out to the door and locked it with chain’s so the customer couldn’t get in the manager watched the cctv camera and the customer did nothing wrong and the guy called the cops the cops came in and saw that the customer did nothing wrong and left

Anyway treating a customer in this way is too wrong how can u refuse to serve someone based on if u are comfortable or not this is your job either u like it or no its not your choice to disrespect someone like this based on their nationality language or anything else he came and asked u politely u should serve politely!!
