Jimmy and Julie were so so amazing.
My family and I are on vacation and our son wanted to try the famous Hot Pots we see all over online. This way by far way way better then what we expected, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat. The service was beyond exceptional. Amazing food amazing dessert thank you

Fell in love with their Stir-fried udon and came back the following day for more. The place is really nice, the atmosphere, the staff and the food. I am really happy that my friend showed me this gem. I have yet to try their shabu, but I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed as well. Their portions are big and reasonably priced. Their draft beer is also priced well compared to a lot of other similar places. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Hidden in DTSA. Great staff, super fresh food and delicious broths. No complaints and I will definitely go back. Oh, the serving sizes for an individual can feed a family of six!

Cozy shabu spot (Japanese hot pot) in the well-trafficked artsy part of Santa Ana off of 4th Street next to Yost Theater. Though trendy w the 20-30s crowd, very welcoming to all ages. Servers Andy and Jenny were our kind, patient, and informative guides since we were novices. Jenny is correct— this restaurant has excellent broth choices! We left feeling like we’d had been transported by this new experience in our own neighborhood. Be prepared w your ParkMobile app and a short wait of 10-15 for seating w/o a reservation. But meal that awaits is well worth it!

Really amazing shabu place! It's my first time here and what I like is that once you order the meat, the things that come with it on the side or a set so there's no additional shopping around on the menu, which is good for someone like me who can be a bit indecisive. With whatever meet you order, you get a side of noodles and vegetables and two great sauces which are sesame based and ponzu based. We also ordered the calamari, some of the best I've had, that's topped with like grilled green onions and I think garlic. The fried fish balls were just okay, because they're literally just fried fish balls so not super special to me. I work at the lamb and it was super tender and high quality and my friends ordered the Angus, which was also quite excellent. Next time I'm in the area, definitely coming here!

Left drunk and full of good food, amazing!!! 💃💃💃
I absolutely love Kiazen Shabu! The food here is consistently amazing, with fresh ingredients and rich, flavorful broths that make every bite memorable. The owner and the entire team are incredibly friendly, always making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I especially appreciate how the owner often offers free alcohol to customers, adding that extra touch of hospitality. I first visited when they first opened a few years ago, and at that time, it wasn’t too busy. But with the incredible food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Kiazen Shabu has become so popular. Now, it's always packed, so be prepared to wait, especially on weekends and during dinner hours – but trust me, it's worth it! I highly recommend trying most of their dishes; you won’t be disappointed. Kiazen Shabu is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious food and top-notch service!

Yes yesterday I tried this spot for the first time. Was seated quickly and our sever Jake helped choose the broth we’d like the best very helpful. I got the ribeye with Tonkotsu. The broth was so tasty way better than local places I’ve tried will be returning :).
