Disappointing Experience at Pad Thai

I visited Pad Thai on Westminster Avenue and Clinton Street for dinner at 5:15 PM with a friend. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience.

My friend ordered the won ton soup, while I had the crab fried rice and a Thai tea. The food was bland and lacked any real flavor—a stark contrast to the bold and aromatic dishes I usually associate with Thai cuisine. On top of that, the food arrived lukewarm, making me wonder if it was pre-cooked and simply reheated rather than freshly made. The only condiment provided was chili, which wasn’t enough to enhance the flavors. Some soy sauce, vinegar, or oils could have helped, but none were offered.

On the positive side, the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with the dining area prepped for the next guests. However, cleanliness alone isn’t enough to bring me back. Given the lackluster food quality, I wouldn’t return or recommend this place to others.

⭐ (Clean environment, but the food was a letdown)

I wish there was a better vegetarian selection, but I'm super thankful that the server told me that most dishes had fish sauce, offered a tofu fried rice. They have a sign that says they won't refund if you get a spicy dish and you can't handle, I thought how spicy can it be? So I got ✨️spicy✨️ tofu fried rice... it's spicy. Ita totally edible but if you don't have tolerance it will definately be too hot.

Vegetarian options: They have tofu as an option for most dishes but fish sauce is also ingredient in most so not vegetarian.

It was public holiday so I am thinking it was understaffed. Food is average. I had Tom Kha and it comes in fancy pot, it had huge tomato pieces which I have not seen before. Overall good. The area around the place felt unsafe.

We had the Thai tea, regular tea, steamed dumplings,, shrimp pad Thai And the green curry, The food tasted Great also the teas. The service was Ok. The atmosphere needs a lot of work. The first impression is oh, should we even eat here. They need a hostess to seat and greet, and just a little more help
make the place look inviting. If they do that, they will keep a lot more customers

The food here is just ok. I like the Thai food much better at Khaosan Thai in Santa ana. The guy working is not super friendly . Service with a smile goes a long way. The fried rice could be better and the larb is sweet, which I have never had sweet larb before. I don't like sweet meat dishes. Food comes out fast but could be better.

Waste of gas and time. They are closed until end of June. Business owner, please update the information on Google map.

This place is recommended for food quality . Liked the red curry and papaya. Salad ?. Red curry was actually one of the best and ya less spicy ?️ for folks who can tolerate . So I recommend this place for pick ups
This place mostly prefer for pick up as they seem to miss on ac facility and also change 10 percent on gratuity for all customers for dine in . Service could be better but there is only on person who cooks and take care of the customers . Customer service could be improved with more smiles , it will take you miles ahead .

Very quick service and the food came piping hot. We really enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered
We had the fried dumplings and tom kha chicken.
My husband had the chicken fried rice and i had the spicy basil noodles, which basically was pad see eew with extra vegetables.
The mango sticky rice was absolutely delicious.

Note: the spicy level is not as spicy as the sign says, the warning sign made me chuckle.
