I have colleagues who rave about this place. It did live up to the expectations. I came with other colleagues who really enjoyed their food. I had the opportunity to order the Sunrise on 17th. It was full of good sushi rolled around crab. No rice in this dish. It was presented really well and the taste was very fresh. I would order this again and recommend it to all sushi lovers. I had the opportunity to have the baked mussel and that was very tasty. Baked just right with a little Kewpie and eel sauce. What was disappointing was that I ordered a hot green tea and drank 3/4 of it only. This tea cost me over $4 that came in a little cup that was slightly bigger than a traditional tea cup. All would have been okay but that price for green tea certainly left me leaving fuming. I am a big fan of sushi but this place is good but not good enough to make me want to revisit.

We loved all the rolls we ordered and also the edamame. Nice vibe too.
Ponzu is ALWAYS on point and the fish is always fresh. This is by far my favorite sushi spot in OC. For something light and refreshing the Snowflakes roll is the BEST! Very friendly staff!

It is with a very heavy heavy heart that I write this review. Food was excellent but that is about it to describe my experience today. The staff served everyone at my table at different times so that the first person's food was cold when it we finally got to eat. I asked for a fork - took 10 to 15 mins for them to bring it to the table. This place use to be great when the lady owner was there, everything was spot on but since her leaving to open the one in long beach? This place has seriously taken a nose dive. This is the 2nd time I've had a similar experience in these most recent months. I get they are busy, but the staff is just so much in shambles and barely keeping it together. Time to find another spot for sushi which breaks my heart. If the owner reads this - you need to come back and see what's going on.

Their sushi sauce had a tart and citrus affect. It was the prefect compliment to the sushi. Oh and the Old Timer Tokyo was an unparalleled success. Equal to any Old Fashioned from professional mixologists.
I like their menu and service.
Amazing quality and selection. The best around here.
A little bit expensive, but very good.
