Honestly, I’m surprised this place has recently good reviews… didn’t impress me at all! Actually, Yes, it did! In a negative very disappointedly way. Not regarding the service, it was awesome! Extremely friendly young girl was really nice and sweet and attentive, fast, really sweet really. But the place it self, I don’t know… they have two rooms : one of them was extremely tight! No room to walk through and, this being my first time here, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to order at the register or wait and hope for one of the servers to notice we had arrived and waiting to be served, since the place was packed! They have seating outside and inside but honestly, I don’t find this place cozy at all; I don’t know, I’m used to different kind of “cozy” , to me it was more “geto” than cozy, it made me feel like one of those restaurants back at my third world country but with people speaking english instead, lol.Once again, service was ok (despite the fact that our server was eating and probably finishing her break) but it does not change the fact she was nice and sweet.I don’t think I’m coming back. But, give it a try, you might find something good that I did not get to see??‍♀️Parking: No parking free. But during weekend there parking in the street is free

I noticed that one of my icons is for "breakfast burrito" so I thought I'd lean into it, especially since amazing breakfast burritos are found all over Southern California, where I frequently travel for work as a criminal defense lawyer.Anyway, I was at the state court in Santa Ana so i thought I'd try Pop's. It's an old timey diner set up with counter service and a few tables. They have all kinds of breakfast but I was here for the burrito, which I got with ham. This was a gringo style breakfast burrito, the best example of the genre is Ham n Scram in Westminster. It had the chopped up ham, hash browns, cheesish, eggs and a Pico de Gallo with Tapatio in a bottle. The ingredients were pretty obviously Sysco, which is fine. A little heavy on the hashbrowns, which were also a tad undercooked, but I devoured it and the five stars speaks for itself.Vegetarian options: Eggs!Dietary restrictions: Dairy, glutenParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Sure.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables in front

This little gem serves the best food, no joke. I suggest the deep fried French toast or one of their delicious omelets but hands down the best menu item is the Irish potatoes. Employees are warm and inviting. Only negative things to say is that it is such a small establishment and is a bit cramped inside.Parking: Meter parking... Not overpriced, roughly around .75 cents for 45 minutes, not bad.

I was by pops but I did not have the opportunity yet to dine there. I have heard nothing but good and I absolutely positively got to get in there and try the deep fried french toast. That sounds so awesome like French toast is fabulous to start with and when it helps start clogging your arteries for you that's the bomb I shouldn't say that, last time I said something about arteries clogging after a fast food meal I wound up in Cardiac Care with 100% blockage and five stents. Their menu looks great definitely got to try it

We were looking for a place to have some light home style breakfast and ran accross this hidden gem! Pop's cafe is a down to earth, classic style, quick service diner where you can order a hot breakfast, good coffee and delicious sandwiches. The food is delicious! If you stop by, make sure you order their amazing frie zuchinni. I have made this small establishment into one of my favs in Santa Ana!!

I was there a couple weeks ago and I was completely disappointed . I decided to sit inside in one of the tables close to the windows food didn’t arrive just yet when for some reason I decided to lift up the salt and peeper next thing you know there’s a bunch of tiny roaches crawling on the table. I felt so disgusted moments later my food arrive . I took a bite or two but just felt so disgusted I ended up leaving.

Feels like small town eatery, it is. Food is delicious, generous portions, and reasonable price. If you have to wait a minute for a table, it's well worth it!

Old school dinner, constantly excellent. If you’re near downtown Santa Ana and not having breakfast here, you’ve chosen poorly.
