The tofu soup here is absolutely delicious 🍲✨ — rich, comforting, and full of flavor. It’s definitely the highlight of the meal for me and something I would happily order again 😋🔥

One small thing I noticed is the rice. I kind of wish they used different pots for it, because it didn’t get that crispy texture on the bottom like you find at some other restaurants 🍚🤔 That golden crust is always such a treat, and I missed that extra crunch.

As for the meats, the galbi was a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite stand out 🥩😕 However, the smoked pork belly totally made up for it — it was flavorful, tender, and really satisfying 🐷🔥 Overall, there were some hits and a couple of misses, but the tofu soup and pork belly definitely make it worth a visit! 👍

Tofu soup is delicious. I wish they used different pots for the rice, because it doesn’t crisp up as much as other restaurants. Galbi is not very good, but smoked pork belly was great.

5 stars from our first visit. I went with my family and we all left impressed. The soondubu was so flavorful — the seasoning was on point and tasted really comforting.

The green onion pancake was a standout for us. Super crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and gone within minutes. They also have a great lunch deal, which makes it even better for families.

And don’t skip the smoked pork belly — smoky, tender, and full of flavor. Such a solid spot, we’re already talking about going back.

The food here is excellent - we especially loved all the side dishes (banchan) - the banchan were all elevated above what you would normally get at other local korean bbq restaurants. The rose tteokbokki, beef japchae, and tofu soup were all 10/10, again these were all elevated beyond what you would normally get at other spots in OC.

The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, we will be coming back!

Stopped by to have lunch with my mom who lives nearby at a memory care. I wanted to rekindle some of her past life by having some Korean food. We found the service to be excellent and friendly. Best of all the food was delicious and plentiful! They just opened and glad I've found the place. We ordered a lunch set menu with bulgogi and Korean tofu soup along with customary side dishes. All well presented by the attentive staff. A lot of good food for the money!

We had dinner here the other night to try their Grand Opening Set Menu before the Grand Opening on August 25th. The restaurant has a lot of parking available. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. The staff here is so friendly.

With the Grand Opening Set Menu, you get an appetizer, small plate, main dish and a dessert beverage for $25 for one person or $50 for two people.

We started with a seafood pancake. It was large and filled with various types of seafood and vegetables. It was so comforting and delicious.

Our small plate was the pork baby back ribs. They were salty and tender. I want more of those.

My friend got the wild thistle pot rice and clam tofu stew, while I got the soy sprouts pot rice and dumpling tofu stew. The wild thistle was tender and paired well with all the bachan offerings. There was a lot of clams in the tofu stew. Just another warm and comforting dish. The soy sprouts had a corn flavor to them and also paired well with all the bachan. The dumplings were super soft and filled with various ingredients. More comfort food and made me feel like being at home.

We got the sikhye, a sweet rice beverage, for our dessert. It was sweet and reminded me of honey balls, a Japanese snack I loved as a child.

Wonderful food that felt like home will have me coming back here soon.

Name a better bang for your buck than the 2-person set at Ondo Kitchen for only $50, I’ll wait. It’s basically $100 worth of food but they’re only doing this deal for their grand opening on August 25-27.

You get a choice of an appetizer and small plate, I had to go with the seafood pancake—one of my faves—and they give you 3 meaty pieces for the smoked ribs.

Then, each person gets one tofu soup and pot rice of their own. That’s right, each!! Their pot rice is pretty special, it’s cooked in an iron pot with your choice of veggies, which creates fluffy rice with a crispy golden layer on the bottom.

Oh, and I almost forgot, dessert is even included! My first time trying sikhye which is Korean rice punch and they make their own in-house too.

Thanks for reading! ^-^
