We started out with the Roasty Toasty and Bourbon Caramel lattes (house made syrups!) and I literally cannot decide which one I like better! We paired that with a cinnamon roll to start! I then shifted to bottomless mimosas and they were hot on it making sure I was well taken care of. We got the croque madame for sustenance and it has the perfect ratio of cheese and ham. I want to go back every day!

They have a new owner and honestly a better menu and the food is sooooo good. A few of my faves are the pesto panini, the chilaquiles, the veggie omelet and can't forget the french toast! The new owner is also very friendly and easy to get along with. Highly recommended

Succulent food and exceptional service from Sean. I'm the guy who has gotten at least 10 calzones from Rafael's Pizza down the street. Rafael's Kitchen is the same great food but elevated to bring you more pleasure to your senses.

Cute cafe and good food, albeit pricey. Also both times I’ve come I’ve been charged higher than menu price on cafe drinks after being assured making any changes wasn’t an upcharge. Got it changed the first time, didn’t bother arguing the 2nd time. It’s good coffee but not $8 good.

Unfortunately, chef Sam sold Roquette. It's now under new ownership and in the midst of a rebrand. If you're looking for the same French experience and quality food, you'll be disappointed. "Rafael's Kitchen" will not survive the transition. We ate here this morning. It was our second visit in about 6 months. We were excited to enjoy another amazing French breakfast, but the food is now bland and uninspiring. You could taste the difference in the first bite. The restaurant was noticeably empty compared to our first visit, and for good reason.Really disappointed to see a great French restaurant die.

I am so bummed that Roquette, lead by Chef Samuel, is gone. It was our go-to, affordable French cafe. Delicious croissants, French dishes and coffee. Oh, so sad. Unfortunately, Rafael's Kitchen just doesn't cut it. The pastries aren't made in house and although many of the food items have stayed the same during the transition, it's just not the same love and care that Samuel put into the dishes. And the Mad Coffee wasn't very good, unfortunately.

Dropped in for breakfast and got to sit in their cute euro chic patio enjoying a delicious breakfast and the beautiful California sun. We savored the veggie omelette, Denver omelette and indulged in the home made waffles. Adding this family-need gem to the rotation ✅

I was in the area today and was looking for a nice place to have lunch without a chain restaurant vibe. Found it here! This place is a nice casual eatery with indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. Parking was a bit challenging - we had to park at The Courtyard by Marriott lot at $10 for an hour. It was worth it. I had a tuna salad sandwich with a side of fries. It was very good and tasted like real food, not fast food. The staff are friendly, too.

The food at lunch was good. Cons: It took us on a Saturday, 25 minutes to order our food and drinks, then our food arrived 30 minutes after we ordered, still no beverages? We asked several times for our beverages-instead one if us had to ask for beverages at the register and it took another 10 minutes, No one came by to refill the bottomless champagne we paid for. Instead, we had to ask at the register and it took another 10 + minutes. Service terrible!!! Don't' spend your $$$.

I absolutely loved this little cafe. We ordered the ham and cheese croissant with egg and the Denver omelette. I was able to sub egg whites which was a huge relief. I only realized my omelette didn't have ham in it until I was almost home, but it was still good without it. Service was extremely fast. Our food came out in less than ten minutes which was appreciated because we were starving. There was a minor issue with the card reader while people were trying to pay, but the employees were very kind and let us eat and figure it out after. The patio seating is a must. It's very open and the hanging succulent planters add a nice vibe.

Vraiment délicieux! Half of my childhood was spent in France and I go back as often as I can. I could hardly contain my excitement when I found this place, and it did not disappoint! Besides the menu, the terrace was also one of the things that made me want to come here and it was just cute and cozy in real life as it looks in the photos. As per usual, I mayyy have over-ordered a little... We got the roasted tomato soup, leek and cheese quiche, short rib sandwich, chicken pesto panini, and the fries with chipotle aioli sauce... thennn, for dessert (and to go), we got the raspberry, pear and almond, apricot, and lemon tartlets, the chocolate royale cake, and a brownie... Mon Dieu! Every single thing was incredible! No exaggeration, it was some of the yummiest food I've eaten since moving to America from Europe two years ago. It reminded me of what "real" food is supposed to taste like (no shade), and also made me realize how heavily salted a lot of the food here (in America) is. It was just beautiful! The tomato soup and the chicken pesto panini in particular, were out of this world! My husband loved the short rib sandwich, and we both thought the fries were crazy good! Each and every dessert item deserves a paragraph of praise of its own... Suffice it to say that we are huge fans, we'll definitely be coming back, and we encourage everyone to try this place out! You will love it!

The food is delicious, the menu is not overtly French and everything my friends and I ordered was outstanding. Steak frites, escargots and Pasta Roquette stood out along with the dessert crepes! Magnifique!

Great presentation. Food looks like it would be delicious. But sadly it mostly is not. It's mediocre and overrated. Seems like the chef is too ambitious with the prix fixe menus. But the pedestrian Steak frites and Onion soup are also both sadly, "meh". I've had better. Came for NYE fixed price menu most recently, left disappointed. Foie gras was way too plain with no substantial accoutrements. The shrimp was astoundingly fishy. The venison dish was disjointed in flavor. It was our 4th time there. We won't be back.

We arrived on a rainy day so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor patio but I think it would be lovely out there on a nice day. The food was delicious. We had the french toast (very savory), the turkey burrito without the turkey ( thumbs up) and the quicke (gold star!). The service was attentive but not over the top. It was a quiet place to have good conversation. Will return!
