I love Rubios as a healthy and fresh fish forward option. The tortillas taste of quality- and the fried fish is perfectly crispy and flavorful. I got the rainbow bowl last time and that is any protein on a bed of rice, lettuce, avocado, SWEET POTATOES (superb), ROASTED CORN and pineapple, all in a yummy sauce. I wish more Rubios were open, they seem to be closing and that makes me sad.

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Service was great, our order was taken quickly. I had the California bowl with sweet potato. My companion had the Shrimp taco trio. Everything was fresh and delicious. The salsa bar was clean and fully stocked.

This was my very first time eating at Rubio's Coastal Grill. And even though I usually don't give bad reviews, I didn't enjoy the shrimp taco as much as I thought I would. But I am willing to give the restaurant a second chance because the service was great. I also think that the soda machine was broken because most sodas and even the tea tasted watered down. But the restaurant was very clean.

I used to be a regular at Rubios until recently. About a few months ago I ordered the 2 fish taco plate to go and noticed there was mold on the tortillas when I went to take a bite. I called the restaurant to let them know they are serving moldy tortillas and stopped eating here due to that experience. I decided to try it again as it's been a while. Bad idea. Fried fish taco was overly fried and was basically just the breading, barely any fish. The quality has just gone to shit as of recently. I will not be eating here again to say the least.
