The ambience is good here and the quality of meet here is average. The one item that is noticeably different than most Shabu places is the GOMA sauce (sesame). Although it was cool to grind your own sesame, the sauce itself is slimy and thick where it throws the consistency off.

I've been coming here for about 10 years and today was the worst service ever. Waiters were practically focusing on the party that was drinking as they were drinking as well. They took forever to bring out the food, they would forget what we had asked for. Friend had order a soup base and waiter forgot to bring it. Order gyoza at the beginning never got them. Order after our ordered was placed and never got them. Disappointed in the service.

Absolutely love going here for a special dinner out. Not only is it my favorite place for shabu shabu, but they also have gluten free sauce options.Kid-friendliness: My seven-year-old loves this place and I've been taking our kids since they were in strollers.

Ordered the combo with chicken and shrimp. So delicious and had it spiced up a little. After cooking in the broth, was poured in a bowl as an amazing soup.

Broth is boiled water with some stuff you can throw in yourself. Staff is not knowledgeable about what real shabu is. Music is club like and not exactly shabu atmosphere. Shame.

This place is a joke. Its regular Shabu shabu broth is literally water......when I questioned this, the waiter said I can add the condiments (daikon, garlic, scallions) into the "broth" to customize it on my own. My jaw dropped. I explained that regular shabu shabu broth should be dashi + konbu based. She took out a sad old jar of dried konbu bits and added 2pcs to each "broth". Then asked me "what is dashi?". Enough said. If you want a real shabu shabu experience, this ain't it. Go boil some hot water at home and save yourself the drive and money.

I have been coming here for about 15 years and it is delicious every time! I don't live in the area anymore but my husband and I drive 45 minutes to get us some shabu shabu! The owner is very nice and hospitable! The meat is great quality and the restaurant is always very clean.

I would rather go to Dada shabu shabu for those who are acquainted with how shabu shabu should be with know what I mean.

This place has been my go-to shabu spot since high school when my brother would take me. Sure, I have other spots I like to rotate, but compared to the others, Shabu Shabu Bar is always a very fun and pleasant dining experience. The meat quality here has never suffered and has remained consistent all these years. The same can be said for the produce. I can't speak on the broth options unfortunately as I enjoy doing plain water, but my wife really enjoys the sukiyaki. I especially love the fact that I can substitute items out for others. For example, I despise mushrooms, so I can get something else in its place, like another vegetable that isn't a fungus :)They have THE best goma sauce I've ever had and I like grinding the sesame seeds before dinner. It adds a nice depth of flavor to the sauce. I used to never care for goma, but because of SSB, I need it! Also, if you're a hothead, definitely request for the drops. I can do upwards of 8+, but I am a VERY spicy eater! My wife does 5-6.As I mentioned earlier, the atmosphere here is lively and fun. The service is always personable and attentive. The previous and current owner are always engaging with their customers and helping out the rest of the team which I think is a respectable.I just went recently, but I can't wait to go back again, especially when the weather gets colder and the days are shorter!Parking: Parking does get a little full, but it's spacious. Worst case scenario you'll just have to walk a tiny bit, but that's not exactly a bad thing especially after a meal!
