The people who work here hate their job. Understandable in these times but God damn it's your job to greet people and get their coffee orders right. We've stopped buying coffee here for that reason alone. We're not Karens but waiting over 40 minutes for 2 small lattes is ridiculous. The vibe in this coffee shop is shit.

I love CBTL; their tea drinks are great. However, the staff at this location on 17th St. is unfriendly and does not practice basic courtesy or customer engagement. I can order drinks that are tasty and served quickly, but for 99% of my visits not one employee will greet me, make eye contact, smile, engage in any light conversation, say thank you or you're welcome. They barely acknowledge that there are customers in front of them. The atmosphere here is somber - like a sad museum. Please teach these people to engage the customer. Don't make the excuse that they are too busy, they aren't when I visit. It would make for such a better experience if the staff was friendly. I'll go out of my way to the CBTL in Yorba Linda/Placentia if at all possible, where the staff is friendly and engaging.

Service used to be stellar but the new hires are kind of passive. The drinks made by them are great, but it also took more than 10 minutes to make just a hot coffee. And uber eats also always somehow manages to send me the wrong food, once three times in a row. Not good for morning rush, I feel.

Horrible service, the baristas were very rude, I asked if that was my drink and they said yes in a rude manner, also the person who takes the orders, a man with reddish hair, is abusive. He didn't see me standing there waiting for him to take my order and then correct me. and say that the line is on the other side.

I sat down to charge my phone and Infront of anyone he raised his voice at me and said “you have to buy something here to be able to stay here” INFRONT OF EVERYONE! First thing I did buy something which he would have known if he would have asked his coworkers. Secondly he did not have to say that out loud for everyone to hear. Third, there were people on the laptop that was here longer than me THAT DID NOT BUY ANYTHING, and did not speak to them in that manner. I believe he was the manager. Taller long beard with glasses and tattoos.

Wasted a trip during rush hours and horrible services and attitude had aggregated the entire experien e even worse.
