So so so so salty $35 for basically inedible food due to the sheer amount of coarse salt in every bite that burned my tongue. There is so much salt that I could discern it was coarse salt since I was crunching literal crystals and chunks of pure salt. Chicken was cooked well, service was fine, wait was a little long, cheese fries were meh, and portions are fine but it is way too salty. Couldn't finish more than half. Great for those who are sodium deficient or want to raise their blood pressure and shorten their life span through sheer sodium excess.

I was very satisfied with the hefty portion of Buffalo Loaded Fries. Although the taste wasn't anything special, it was still a solid choice to fill up on. I'll be back to try other menu options that seem interesting. The service was fast too. The only downsides were that it was somewhat expensive and the Buffalo sauce upset my stomach.

This review is solely on the chicken tenders. But I'm sure the chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken are made the same way. So I ordered medium heat chicken tenders that come with Texas toast and comeback sauce. The flavor of the chicken was okay. A little overcooked. The breading was good, that was my favorite part. However, the breading did not stay on the chicken after my first bite. Also there was absolutely no heat. Not even a kick. Which was a bummer. The Texas toast didn't taste like any I've ever had. It was greasy and flavorless and not very good. The comeback sauce was not either. BUT the staff was friendly and they have lots of other items on their menu that I'd like to try. So I will be back for the smash burger and some fries.

UPDATE: Very professional response to this review from management. Makes me confident that they are open to feedback about the details. Increasing review to 4 stars. Good smashburger and fries. I was annoyed by two things : 1) the cashier asked me if I wanted ranch or honey mustard, as if it was included in my order (she didn't say would you like to ADD...), and then charged me $1 for it. The ranch was nasty and flavorless and gelatinous like Hidden Valley Ranch, and not consistent with the much higher quality of their burgers and fries. 2) I asked for the "grilled cheese fries" which sounded amazing, but the cashier was very confused and finally walked out to look at the menu and said very matter-of-factly. "Oh, that's a grilled cheese sandwich" (which they couldn't even make because they were out of bread, by the way) to which I replied "maybe they should put it in the sandwich section of the menu instead of the loaded tots and fries section?" Please, if you are going to open a restaurant, hire at least one person qualified to review your menu before going live.

Make sure to check your online orders.. I ordered wings combo at santa ana and didn't get my full orders and it happened twice... lots of chicken wings out there but not this one

I usually don't write reviews but this place served us raw chicken. I took the sandwich back and the cashier said it was the cheese that looked that way. It wasn't the cheese the chicken was completely raw. My mom who is a seasoned cook and who bit into the sandwich also said the chicken was raw. The cashier refunded me but first told me it wasn't their fault then retracted and said it was. Don't recommend this place at all after that awful experience. Rude cashier and raw uncooked food.

Super super salty food. Shared the Nashville chicken sandwich and a smash burger. Both were barely edible due to heavy salt. Very pricey as well.

Best fried chicken around! I love that it's always made to order and always crispy! Huge plus that the owner seems to really appreciate his customers and is always friendly and kind. We had a few short conversations with the owner and he always remembers me and my husband. The service is also quick and lots of seating at this location.

I was excited to try this place after seeing the great reviews and pictures but sadly it did not live up to the expectation. Bummed!

I ordered takeout and had it picked up. One double smash burger. Mayo, mustard, extra onions and pickles, no cheese and a small fries. What I got was a bun, two patties and a thousand island like sauce on one bun, that's it. And the fries were mostly tater tots with a very few fries mixed in. It is very frustrating to pay premium prices and they do not take the time or effort to get your order correct. I mean how hard is it?

This place is pretty good but expensive. So beware of that. I don't really care, I've eaten here once before and it was tasty. So this time I took my GF before we went to a concert on 7/22. The Golden Eatery is located on 4th Street in the eating hall area. It's always pretty busy here so just know you can be waiting a while. We had a very simple order. 2 Smashburgers (1 Single/1 Double) w/ Tater tots and Mac & cheese. And 2 drinks. It all tasted so good! The double smash was just too much for myself, I should've definitely gotten a single lol. The mac and cheese wasn't very good at all. It tasted like it was microwaved and left sitting for a while. By the time it got to us it was cold, and not lukewarm. Besides the MAC, everything else was pretty solid.
