We tried the gyro, chicken platter, and shrimp plate, all were delicious! The service was polite and efficient. Though the restaurant is small, it feels cozy and welcoming. If I lived nearby, it would definitely be one of my go-to spots.

Needed to grab some lunch, and we don't really visit Santa Ana often. We were passing through, and the great reviews brought us here. It was delicious! We got a range of plates (The Works is enough for two smaller meals), the salmon kebab was flaky and tender, and the salads were fresh. I loved the garlic dressing on the salad. The green sauce is a nice add on, it wasn’t as spicy as I was hoping. Everything was seasoned very well with lots of deep, warm spices. The stuffed grape leaves were great. The steak kebab was a bit dry, but the flavor was good. The gentleman taking orders was helpful and seemed happy to help.

Food plate was hefty and the meat was great- enough to share a plate between 2 people. Sauces were wonderful to dip and try. Atmosphere was relaxed and service friendly.

Finally made it in, had the falafel and gyro platters. Delicious, fresh hummus. Very casual, not a lot of seating

This place is relatively new, but it's really good and easy to grab a quick lunch ?

The gyro is my favorite, its quick and delicious. You'll definitely want to go for the diced potatoes side dish. I don't know what sauce they toss those in, but it's amazing!

Parking: Big parking structure across the street and 2-3 spaces right in front with parking meters.

Kid-friendliness: I haven't brought my kids here yet, but it would be good for little ones. The food is healthy-ish and the space is accommodating. I don't think a saw a kid menu specifically though.

I had the Fattouche salad (cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, green/red/yellow bell peppers, & lettuce)with Gyro meat. The salad was well seasoned with spices and the meat was very good. Limited indoor/outdoor seating area and limited street parking.

Food is good but service for dining in is not so good. Friendly but not attentive.

Parking: Across the street in multi-level public lot. $4/hr.

Unassuming hole-in-the-wall. Friendly counter-service. Chicken and shrimp were both excellent, as was the spicy green sauce. Pita bread was very stale.

Whoever made my gyro wrap, I’d like to meet your parents to tell them what a beautiful thing they’ve created. Blessings on your mom, your spouse, your cat, your cow

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Green Olive in downtown Santa Ana, and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds!

I took the recommendation to try the combo plate, and let me tell you, it was a feast of flavors! The combination of different dishes on the plate provided a well-rounded taste adventure. I really loved the hummus, fresh salad, and kabab mix.

One standout element was the fried potatoes with green sauce. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the green sauce added a unique and zesty kick that elevated the dish to a whole new level. It's a must-try for anyone visiting!

Overall, The Green Olive is unassuming but exceeded my expectations. You won't be disappointed!
